My hooves clinked on the hard cement as i walked up the hard walkway towards the ruin. The birds chirped happily as i looked down to the ground in sorrow. A single tear ran down my cheek. I turned my head away from the cross before me, and shook my head, knowing my sister was gone. And she would never come back. Here is how it all started.


"Wait up!!!" i called to birdy. She turned her head to face me,"hahahaha slowpoke!!" she kept running and turned a corner swiftley. "WAHHH!!!!" i screamed. my ears went back and i skidded across the wet grass and holted to a swift stop, panting. I was an inch close to hidding smack dab into the trunk of a sapling. birdy was standing about four feet away from me laughing her head off. Her Huge voice echoed through the forest. "OMG!! YOU WERE THAT CLOSE!!" she threw her head back laughing. She threw herself onto the ground and sighed. "ahhh...good times, eh?" she whispered in a soft tone i have heard many times before. she was going to pounce. She smirked and jumped up swiftley landing on top of me. My head smacked into the soiled ground."OW!" i screeched. i kicked her off, dodgeing her hoof smack. "HA!" "NOT THIS TIME!" i laughed. i smiled playfully. "how bout another round, eh?" i scrunched my nose and sniffed the air. "hmmm... do you smell that?" i looked around, puzzled. "smell what?" birdy tilted her head, her feathers all shifting to one side of her head."That... weird wet dog smell?" i whispered." awww... hakilu! Its probabley just your ima-" she stopped short of her sentence and her ears went back and her eyes widened. "Birdy? whats wrong?" i whispered. Suddenley i felt the warm breath of another creature on the back of my neck, the fur on my back stood straight up."w-w-wo-" she stuttered. she backed up slowley,her back hair stuck up, to. she stopped abruptley. she closed her ears and lowered her head."go away go away go away!" i thought hard for a second. The only creature she feared was, wolves. My eyes widened and i started running, i kicked her back leg motioning for her to run. she opened her eyes and ran the oppisite direction. " HEY! NO NO! NOT THAT WAY! BIRDY!!!!!" i screamed and halted to a stop. I turned around and fell to my knees. "UGH!" i got up and started running the way she went. i raced through the forest jumping over rocks and boulders, dodgeing the trees and bushes in my way. "HAKILU!!" birdy screetched. I knew she was in trouble!! I speed up and stretched my legs out farther to ran faster. I started sweating, for i was scared. i called to her. no answer. i called again, this time longer and louder. still, no answer. I started crying." no, HAKILU! you ARE NOT SCARED!!" i heard a faint voice that whispered,"hel-". I opened my eyes and started running faster than i ever have before. my legs stretching as far out as they could. My warm breath coming out in spurts. My legs hurt and so did my head. i must save, BIRDY! i jumped out into the open and over a log. There, in the meadow, i saw blood. Trails leading into the tall grass. I followed the blood trails, but the blood didn't smell like it was the wolve's. I lifted my head up, sweat trickled down my forehead, i shivered, my head full of worry, and thought for that matter. There i saw a sight i never want to see again. There, before me, i saw my sister, birdy, she was lieing down cut up and bloody. "BIRDY!!!" i screamed. "NOOOOOOO!!!" she rolled over and looked up. "hak-" a trickle of blood ran down the side of her swolen cheek. i ran to her side and licked of the blood. "no..NO! GO BEFORE HE COMES-" "shhhh!" i whispered." he will if you yell!" "sorry!" she started to whisper again. i started sobbing, my anger started to overcome my sadness, though, i lifted her up onto my back, the blood on her body staining my dark, red pelt.I looked up, the wolf stood there growling at me, his blood drenched fangs bared as though he was ready for more blood and gore. I put birdy down. This was MY battle. " YOU! YOU DON"T HURT MY FAMILY OR NOR YOU SCARE ME YOU MUTT!" i bared my fangs, my skull head rattled and my dark eyes glowed in fury. I ran toward the dog, charging, i collided into his side, cutting his back with my razor sharp, skull-fangs. I bit into his neck and threw him into a rock. I turned back to look at birdy, her eyes were filled with tears. I looked at my side, a deep wound had been caused by the wolf's sharp fangs. Blood ran down my neck. I shut my eyes and fell to the ground, smacking into the hard solid dirt. I tried getting up but thunked back down. The wolf went over and sunk its claws into a wound on my shoulder. "UGHH!!!!" i screamed. The peircing pain filled my vision. my sight went blank and blurry. I shut my eyes. This was it. i was going to die. "NOOOO!!!!!" i shoved the wolf off me and bit into its solid rock-hard neck. It shreeked in pain, Its head thunked down onto the ground. it was finished. the war was over. I looked over to birdy, her stomach wasn't moving and her eyes were shut. The wolf was not only one dieing. I rushed over to her side, and licked her cheek," BIRDY!!!" i screamed. My sister was gone.I thunked down and started sobbing. That was it. I would never hear my sweet sister's voice again. "NOOOOOOOO!!!" i screamed. I got up and roared, a long, painfull roar. I then fell to my knee's and passed out from the loss of blood.
I awoke the next day, my eyes slowely opened, at first my vision was a blur. But it cleared up after i blinked a few times. I rose up and looked around. Birdy's body was still there, but, there were no scatches or blood. nothing. I sniffed her lifeless body and licked her. SHe opened her eyes and looked up at me."hakilu?" she asked."birdy!" i lay beside her and nuzzled her." i saw... THe gods..." i stopped nuzzling her and opened my eyes." what?" i asked in a whisper.i looked at her puzzled. she smiled and said," yeah.. they said the would heal me, then come to take me home.." I have to go, hakilu!" she go up and nuzzled me,"goodbye, brother." she whipered in my ear. i got up and saw two white figures walk towardes birdy. A tear ran down my cheek." goodbye...". they touched her thin body and took her with them. walking off towards heaven.A brisk white light blurred my vision as i sheilded my eyes, they had gone. forever. I dropped to my knees, and closed my eyes to think. birdy, was gone.
I walked towards the ruins to my sister's grave to say one last goodbye. I kneeled down to look at her name carved into the cement. "bye, sister". i smiled and got up, and started running to find a new thing called happiness.



Now that birdy is gone, im going to have a ceremony tonight at 10:00, hakilu will be there, he is wearing red pelt, flowers on his antlers, and the realistic mask. We will be praying for our dear birdy.... she has left us... and i hope you all kow how special she was to hakilu....... ill see you there...it will be at the ruin/cemetary at 10:00 friday night/tonight/\. please come for birdy's sake. we will have a farewell dance and we will all one by one go and say goodbye to birdy.... please come...
