The Diary of Seed 7-07-08

Yesterday I had a great, great time. Well, it started out as a normal-seeming day: I was setless, I ran into Sqish, who started helping me...after we got my pelt back, I had a brilliant idea, if I do say so (judge me by the results. the results were fun.) I had heard that someone had found a solution to me tag problem: the divine pelt. I had never considered it, maybe because I really don't like it. Still, I knelt down, praying to the Twin Gods my intentions would be clear to my companion. At first, it was hard to tell: Sqish knelt down too. But then, not willing to give up, since I was already in that annoying pelt with its incessant glow, I ran down the hill to where Pepokeen was (He had, I think, just woken up.) I cast it, sneezed the pelt off, and started running. And you know what happened then, which not even I could have expected? They got it. They understood what I meant, what I wanted.
We played tag, chasing whoever wasn't IT (and sometimes it was two deer, sometimes just one) all around the Birch Forest. It wasn't quite running the way I like it best. But it was running, great running, running made into a game. When the last divine pelt ran out, we laughed, panting. And we decided to play again. and again. and again.
And then...and then I fell into the pond, losing my set. So we took a break for a while, just as Toukan woke up. He helped us get my set back, and as we were after-dancing, I tried to ask Pepokeen if we should start another game. He nodded, so we set off for the statue.
Toukan didn't get it when Pepokeen and I were praying for our pelts. I figured, OK, he would catch on. I had met him before, and he was very nice. I wanted to share something fun. He never did get it, though. As it turns out, he has some old scar tissue none of us noticed that makes it difficult to run. I can sympathize: my joints are better now than they used to be, but there are moments when I just can't --can't -- run, no matter how much I want to. I have to admit it: when my joints get so stiff I can't run or leap, I get a little bit scared. Still, Toukan managed to keep up pretty well, even if he didn't get it. But then Sqish, the little cheater (I kid, I kid) ran through the crying idol. That made me stop, since it was kind of cheating. The game was over, timed out.
So we started playing by the idol, although Sqish had to go not long after we were done. So we started air-sitting with Echo and Trinket. Toukan left and Scape showed up, after a bit. I ended up in a position I liked, at one point: the idol's nose or lower-lip ring ^^. I had fun there.
Then we got down, and Scape vanished into the bank. I never figured out how: Oh, it was a type of air-sit, done from the bottom...I could just never get it right. My bad aim strikes again! At some point during this, we lost Echo, so Scape and I started hopping down the ol' river. We ended up doing some light goofs at the bridge...until I fell in. I decided to go to sleep after that, rather than going through all the fuss. I had a really good time, though.
Toukan will understand
Oh, and Scape sat-slid into the bank. He tried to show you that was how he did it. But yea, it's always about timing. The first time was by chance and had me cracking up.
