The Past

He stands tall upon a hill, admiring small fawns play. He stares past them to see their families happily doing the same. The joy in the forest brought a smile to his face.

As quickly as the smile appeared, it faded. The happiness of the forest seemed to bring back thoughts of his past. Oh, how his past haunted him. No matter how much he tried to forget, the images still rushed back into his brain. Well, what exactly did he see? Let's take a trip down memory lane.

6 years ago, Kai met a beautiful doe. She had a soft, golden pelt and a gentle disposition. She would move gracefully and loved to groom others. Kai grew feelings for this lovely doe and eventually won her heart. What could possibly be so terrible about that? Just wait, we're getting there.

Along the road, Kai and his mate grew closer. Kai's mate eventually got pregnant, which was possibly the happiest day of Kai's life. He told everyone in the forest about his upcoming fawn. His first fawn! How incredible! Kai knew it was an honor to produce a fawn and cherished it. He would protect his mate at all times. He barely slept. He would stay up all night keeping watch. He would also travel further distances to get to the best grazing areas. He took her everywhere.

All of his efforts amounted to success when, early one morning, his mate made a small distress call. She was going into labor and Kai was extremely excited but also kept himself in state of high alarm. Nothing was going to harm his mate or his first fawn and he made sure of it.

He encouraged her with small nudges and licks. He could tell she was in intense pain. She must have been tired, he thought as he saw her head slowly lower. It was taking up all of her strength to give birth. But then he began to notice her become very still. Her breathing was almost unnoticeable and faded as the seconds passed by. Kai began to panic, and released a high pitched honk. She didn't move. He nudged her and blew air at her face.

Dew Drops

As dew continues to drop,
shiny shimmer upon the pelt,
that rusty white and wretched gray,
is guaranteed to melt away.

Never has one shined so bright,
as to mock the reflection of the sun,
but as the dew continues to drop,
the filth all falls at once.

So what to do on this blurred morning?
Run and play in the moistened greens?
Or should one rejoice in the luster,
of the pelt with its newly found sheen.

The Big Day (5/12/14)

Today, Kai had fun running around taking naps with random, stranger deer. He did not mind it at all and enjoyed their company for the most part:

Kai also enjoyed bringing this fawn and doe together; somewhat making himself the second parent:

Kai also found one of his twins:

If this is you, Kai spent a great amount of time trying to make you his twin, all while you were asleep:

Kai has met some REALLY good friends today that he would hope to get to know and see more of in the future:

My Fawn Days are over ..

Thank you to everyone that has helped me have so much fun here on EF for the past 4 weeks. Tomorrow my deer, Kai will be fully grown and I've been waiting so long for it! Each week was something new to explore and I adored having so much fun with everyone. I'm happy that I finally will have my adult deer tomorrow because it was often a lot of work to get and keep pelts, masks, and antlers. Also, I got tired of my little fawn roar. It was loud and mighty, but it wasn't booming like I'm used to hearing from others around me. Another one is that I will be able to get pelts, masks, and antlers I have never had on and can't wait to try out. I may also meet someone special along the way .. ;3 I got kind of annoyed that most of the time, I was the only fawn inside of a group and felt kind of left out, but now I hope in the future that I can be a strong role model/leader for the future fawns and make sure that they get the respect they need and have the fun that they need to have!

More to come ..

Moshe Bio - The Stag Without Antlers

A Red Deer Doe named Moshe.
3 years old
4'6"
1282 lbs
Tall ears, bright Amethyst colored eyes in sunlight often changing into a dark pink color at night, and extremely sweet, helpful, strong, protective, and loyal.

At only a few months, Moshe lived with her Mother and Father, (Suranai and Shadow) but a little later than that, she lost her father due to a fight with a long time family enemy, Demasis. Demasis' goal was to have Moshe's Mother as his mate, but lost to Moshe's Father. He has taken revenge on Moshe's Father, killing him and began planning on again taking Moshe's mother as his mate, forcefully. As the plan was known, Moshe's Mother began to try to find another mate that would protect her. After finding another mate, Keegan, they both began to accept the idea of trying to conceive a son who would one day bring down Demasis. Following the plan, Suranai became pregnant, but during birth, there was a complication, killing both Suranai and baby boy, whom was to be named Moshe. Only Moshe and Keegan remained. So Keegan pledged to teach Moshe how to become a skilled Stag without antlers. Once training begun, Moshe began to feel fluttered around Keegan. She thought about making him her own mate to make the family stronger in numbers, but she had her doubts and hesitated. During the time training, she learned all she could before it happened. Demasis struck again and Killed Keegan, as he attempted to save Moshe. Moshe took all of her training and time spent with Keegan to her advantage in her goal to bring peace to the spirits of her Mother, Father, Brother and Step-Father by calling herself the Stag without Antlers; being a Doe fighting in a Stags place. She would also try to find a mate that will help her reach her goal. Aside from having to be tough, she has a sweet and kind heart, and a sensibility for anyone who has lost someone dearly. Her goal, shall one day, be fulfilled.
