Liëka lay on the warm rocks, peering lazily through her lashes at her daughters a good few lopes away. They were chatting idly, and laughing together. Liëka smiled. FIU was a few years older than
, but you wouldn't know it, their maturity levels were so low together. Such a good thing they get along so well.
She watched as they spontaneously burst out laughing, and wandered over to the Pond together.
Liëka didn't remember much from her childhood, but she did remember how other deer would comment on how mature she was. Not surprising, really. She was, after all, still a fawn when she had taken the great responsibility for Him. She smirked. Yes, that would make anyone grow up fast. And in a way, Liëka supposed that she had missed out. Ah, the teenage years, supposedly full of mania and fun, full of never-never-never-wanna-grow-up-ness, while she was studying ritual and sacrifice.
But what was she thinking! This was the Endless Forest, the place of dreams. Even 'adult' deer still had the never-wanna-grow-up-ness. Just think of all the great button-mashers! To hell with maturity! Liëka giggled to herself.
And speaking of which...
The purple-haired doe found that she could not, after all, ignore the racket coming from over yonder as well as she thought she could. As she listened, another loud clang hit her ears, followed briefly by loud exclamations. Grinning, Liëka roused herself and galloped over to the noise source.
"What are you two up to, then?"
Iranu looked round quickly.
"Oh-hai!"
Liëka raised an eyebrow.
"We were just examining this thing we found. Uvavu reckons he can get it going!" he explained happily.
Uvavu looked round from where he was crouched, delight all over his face, and a sliver of flint in his mouth.
