Am'iira disdainfully stepped quietly through the trees, half hanging her head in shame.
I was used. He didn't love me. Why would he defend me against those other deer? The snow under her hooves gave a
crunchcrunchcrunch as she broke the top layer of ice. Spots of red accompanied the hoofprints behind her, the path leading from the terrible forest she once came from, into a new one.
Beaten and bloody, she made her way to the giant tree that others sought out for warmth. Other deer stared at her as she lay herself down, most openmouthed and disgusted. Some even left; but that didn't bother her, this happened on a normal basis. She was often shunned and ignored for her gray/white pelt, but she saw others as they left that bore the same colors. Were they not shunned for this?
"...Dangerous.... Bloody..... smells terrible...."
She leaned on giant root beside her body and let out a sigh, closing her eyes. She was exhausted. A new forest, new deer. New individuals to interact with. She heard it was a place of peace. She may as well start new, right? Why not?
With a sigh, she placed her head down on the hard ground and closed her eyes. She felt exausted, but sleep would not come; so she just decided to lie there.
