It had been a week since Serenity had died, or been stolen. She was trying to save me as I was being chased by the Death God, it was all my fault. Latte had tried many times to convince me it wasn't but I knew deep down, if I hadn't run in their direction...
I sighed and looked miserably down at my hooves. Latte and I had settled down under our usual resting spot, there was a gap between us. The gap that Serenity usually rested in. I didn't know Latte quite well so we didn't talk much. My mind drifted onto Serenity...
Thats when it hit me.
Serenity had been killed by a beast once before and the gods had brought her back to life, maybe if I prayed to the gods they would help me! I had to tell Latte the plan. My eyes looked over to Latte.
" Err...Latte? "
Latte looked up, the one blue eye that was showing ( the other covered by her long fringe) was misted with sadness.
" Yes, Sparx? " She said , miserably.
" I've had and idea, to bring Serenity back! " I said, grinning
Her voice was doubtful.
" Let's hear it then? "
" When you and Serenity were killed by the beasts, the twin god brought you to life. If we prayed for Serenity and the god's help at the abiogenesis stones they may bring her back to life! "
Latte sighed, " Sparx, gods can only bring a deer back to life once, but its worth a try, I guess. "
We got to our hooves and headed for the abiogenesis stones.
When we arrived a lot of fawns were prancing around the stone, their pelts were a bright, dazzling white and they were surrounded by an eerie blue glow. Their white pelts were flecked with pink spots and their eyes were rimmed with the same pink shade.
I knelt infront of the great glowing stones and so did Latte. I prayed hard.
Then I heard a voice echoing in my head " There is only one way, meet me at moonlight " My eyes shot open and I stood up straight, glancing at Latte.
" Did you hear it to? " I asked, " The voice, I mean. "
" I did.

I turned, and I ran. I ran without thinking, straight in the direction of Latte and Serenity. The Deer Of Death thundered on behind me, its haunting laugh and chattering teeth rang in my ears.
I exploded into the clearing where Latte and Serenity were sleeping
" Run, Run for your lives! " I yelled at them and darted off in the other direction to the way they were running, The Deer of Death followed me.
Our speed was equally matched , but Death was a god, he would never tire. I thought frantically of what I could do..
That was it!
There was only one way I could avoid the Death God, I ran in the direction of Da drinkplaats, my breathe already beginning to run out.
Trees and bushes shot past me, deer let out calls of alarm and horror , but I ignored that. I had to keep running. I was aware I was slowing down slightly, the gap was closing between us.
The hoofbeats of Death were like drumming in my ears, the echoes never fading out. Then I saw the da drinkplaats, and hope shot into my chest. I didn't have much chance, if it went wrong, if I didn't become a bird and fly to safety. I was doomed.
I leapt over the edge of the fairy circle, Death crashing through behind me. I could smell the water now, I could hear the water trickling down onto the platform. I bent my head down whilst running and opened my mouth. As I ran water flowed into my mouth, I gulped it down then waited. Death ran closer. A flash in the distance,I looked down at myself...
I had become a toad.
Fear shot through me keeping me frozen to the spot, Death leapt at me, laughing.
Then everything happened so fast, a brown flash leapt from the bushes, slamming into the side of Death.
Death got up and reared above the fawn...It was Serenity.
" No! " I cried, Death's antlers came down.

The rain on my back felt like millions of daggers, plunging into me. My head hung low, my eyes full of sadness, my ears drooping by the sides of my face. I squinted my eyelids together, trying to stop the tears from flowing. But I couldn't. My salty tears mixed with the rain droplets as they ran down my face, dripping onto the moist grass below.
I couldn't beleive it, he was dead....
My old friend lay on the floor in front of me. He was resting in his usual place, on the platform, next to the ruins. The rain droplets were covering his grey matted fur and ran down onto the gashes in his side. He didn't die a painful death, just passed away in his sleep. I found him here this morning.
Serenity and Latte had decided to go home to give me some time on my own. I thought back to the last time we spoke. A shudder ran down my spine; he must have known it was coming, his death I mean. What he had said was this:
'Young deer, please take care of yourself. The forest is darkening...'
I backed away from his body and went to wander around the forest. The forest seemed to share my emotions, the sun was hiding, the birds weren't singing and the deer weren't prancing around. They sat under trees, their heads bowed. The words seemed to echo in my head
" The forest is darkening, the forest is darkening.. "
I trudged a whole circle of the forest and then found myself at the ruins again. I dumped myself next to my friend's body and cried myself to sleep.
My dreams were dark and haunting. I was running through the forest..except it was different. The branches of the trees had no leaves, mist clouded my vision and the ground was dirt. My hoofbeats rang out loudly as I ran across it. Then out of the mist came millions of deer, surrounding me, blocking me in. I recognised them as my friends. Their fur had been torn off in places leaving bloody gaping wounds. They had no eyes, only two hollow circles that stared at me, haunting me. They closed in fullly.

When I play Endless Forest its full screen and I can usually get off full screen games to go on other things by pressing the start key, but it doesn't work for TEF i have about 5 seconds to click something, then it keeps flashing before going back onto the endless forest. I've tried taking it off as a screensaver but it still does it.
Can anyone help?

I usually start each of my tales with me waking up, or in the middle of doing something fun. Am I right? Well, Today I shall begin my story with what happened last night, the memories will haunt me forever..
I slammed my hooves into the earth coming to a stop. My head turned around frantically. It was night, and something was wrong with the forest. Everyone was missing. My not-so-excellent deer sight tried to see through the bushes for incoming predators, but I could see nothing. The sound of a pelt brushing against a branch. I bolted, my hooves carrying me across the ground like a hare. Adrenaleine pumped through my body , the only thing spurring me on. The trees rushed past and I realised my instincts had taken me to the big oak tree. It was the only place I usually felt safe. I ducked in under it and huddled up in my usual spot, peering through the cracks.
A low growl sounded from outside and the beasts began to circle my hiding spot. I scented the air and I could tell there were three of them. From my spot I could only see massive club like paws walking past the crack. If I didn't get out, they would kill me! I waited for the paws to go past again. And began to time myself.
One....Two....THREE!!
I shot out from the under the tree and charged into the forest, the beasts giving chase. I could hear their snarling splitting the usual silence of the night air. Their huge paws thudded on the ground behind me.
This is the bit where you expect me to trip over, or get snagged on a branch or vine.
But I didn't.
They caught up!
I could feel the hot breathe of the beasts on my haunches, then the thudding stopped and for one moment I thought they had gone. Then there was a stabbing pain in my back, claws ripping through my fur, piercing my skin, the pain shuddered through my whole body, but i twisted round and kicked out with my front hooves. It hit the beast SMACK in the eye.
Now I could see them. We were all standing in a wide meadow.

It was early in the morning and me, Serenity and Latte were trotting over to the ruins to see my old friend. The birds were singing their morning songs, their calls echoed through the forest waking up the deer. I inhaled the sweet scent of the flowers their petals were opening to the sun, reaching out for its rays.
" So, What does your friend look like? " Serenity asked.
" He looks like one of those dead deer,he usually sleeps on a tomb in the ruins " I replied.
Serenity's eyes shot open with horror, " Dead...deer? "
" Well, his pelt, mask and antlers are what looks like, off a dead deer , but I assure you he isn't a brain eating zombie "
We arrived at the ruins, I saw my friend laying on the platform just to the left of the ruins. He shook his matted fur and got up slowly, stretching his legs. The sun glinted off the bones that were visible deep in his fur making him look horrifying. He noticed me and turned to face me, his hollow eyes turned in our direction so I ran over. Latte and Serenity kept their distance, too shy to come and investigate.
" Hi there! " I said As soon as I reached him, My friend bowed and I bowed back.
" Hello there young one, I see you have been named by the gods at last " His masked face seemed to study my pictogram " Sparx, eh? What a peculiar name.. "
" Why is it peculiar? " I asked, his answer was cut off by a loud shriek from the air. Startled, I looked up.
Darting through the trees above us was a huge raven, the streams of sunlight glinted off its glossy black wings as he circled, then dived onto the platform. It brought its wings infront of it as it landed so it didn't fall over. Then suddenly the air was filled with a popping sound and in the raven's place stood a stag!
White bones that had been patterned onto its black fur made the skeleton of a deer, the front of it was a strange green and blue pattern. The stag had the same skull mask as my friend and short little antlers.
" Hey there!

I hope I don't humiliate myself by saying this >_>'
How do people get such cool signatures of their deer running? Everyone seems to have them.

My eyes opened wearily , it was the after noon and I had overslept. Spending my time at night, gazing upon the stars and letting the moon's rays spread across my fur had made my sleeping pattern go out of sync. I looked to the spot beside me where Latte and Serenity should of been sleeping. They weren't there, probably spending some time collecting flowers and casting spells on other deer.
I got to my hooves and flickered my ears about, catching any sound. I heard the noises of alot of deer in one place I decided to take that route, as I got nearer I could see a group of deer dancing and they nearly all looked the same! They all had butterfly pelts and their antlers were entwined with violet flowers, although some of them had different masks. I wandered up to one who had a huge red and white mask, it was so long it reached right down to their legs!
The Butterfly deer suddenly began to spread out, they ran in circles and pranced up and down, up and down. I pranced around them in a few circles, leaping over the back of one deer. Then suddenly, they charged off into the forest. I raced along with them until they stopped, I saw another doe I knew so I went over to her and nuzzled her neck with my own. We pranced around for abit when I realised the butterfly deer had lined themselves up and were dancing merrily. The sight made me fall on my back, laughing. It was also a beautiful scene, the main colour of their coat was as black as the night sky and on their side was the amazing wings of a butterfly, the wings were orange like the embers of a fire and there were little black lines that streamed across the orange making the wings look even more realistic.
All I could do was stand and stare for a while, before joining in their dance, we danced for a while then they thundered off into the trees. I just HAD to tell Serenity and Latte about this... I to, ran off.
January 22, 2010 - 4:34pm — Latte
It was a beautiful day in the forest, butterflies swarmed in the sky and the deers of the forest were running around happily. I had just woken up when I realised that I had a glowing pictogram above my head, it read 'Sparx'. I tilted my head, I had been named by the gods? I trotted outside and stretched my legs, the air smelt of flowers and vaguely of fawn... Following the scent I found myself arriving at the play area there were only a few stags resting on the highest rock, their masked faces staring out into the forest. A robin had landed on the white antlers of a deer that looked like a peacock. The robin had a short little beak and its berry-red chest was puffed out proudly as it sang. I was suddenly aware of giggling from behind me, I looked around and just saw the hind legs of a fawn vanishing behind a tree. I trotted over to the tree and said " Hello..? " The fawn responded with a giggle, I walked around the tree to find..nothing. More giggling from the other side of the tree, I darted around it just as the other fawn was. I was never going to catch it up! I stopped and started running around the other way of the tree, to come face to face with the most beautiful fawn I had ever seen. She batted those long eyelashes at me then leaned forwards and kissed me on the cheek.
I suddenly felt like I was floating on air, my legs felt wobbly and I was blushing. The fawn giggled and leapt onto a nearby rock . The sound of the robin singing snapped me out of my daydream..I gazed at her. Her brown fur was paler than other deer almost a creamy colour, there was a bit of fringe hanging from her head covering the top of her bright eyes. The tips of her ears were thick with fur and she turned to look at me when A butterfly settled on her nose, she giggled and stared at it.
" Hi there! " I said, my voice maybe louder than It should be.
