Thank you, deer-person!

Thank you very much to whomever helped me go through all the masks. I've not yet settled upon a set but I'm very grateful to have the opportunity to choose one.

I also had to log out early and I wish I knew a way to say goodbye without making you think I wanted to sit. Though, that short sitting was fun.^^

The friendly deer is on the right (with the orca mask) is the one I'm curious about.

Anyone know who he/she is? (:

How do you save pelts?

I noticed I hit 5 weeks recently so I'm now an adult deer. Funny that, I actually hadn't logged on since the day of the last Epiphany.

I know I'm supposed to save spelldata, but which file exactly? I found a cute pelt I'd like to play with but I can't remember how to save it. And my hubby also plays so I have to make sure and back up the pelt before I log out and he logs in on the same computer, right?

Do I backup the ones in this folder?

C:\Program Files\Tale of Tales\The Endless Forest 3\userdata

Many thanks.

I don't have a story.

I don't write stories about my deer. I don't intend to. She doesn't have a mate, no favorite foods, and no special abilities. I may draw her one day for fun but I don't really want to do anything outside of the game with her otherwise.

When you see her she's usually sleeping and it's because I'm using the game more as a screensaver than an interactive environment. The screensaver feature is actually what hooked me into dling the game. She may hop around and play at random, wander about and sit by people, or even suddenly disappear. I may even avoid groups sometimes because I don't want to break their immersion to the game by my possible un-rpish actions.

Again, I don't do it to be rude. I just don't feel as connected with storylines and rp here as much as others do. To me it's a beautiful screensaver where I can move around in if I choose to. It's also fun to visit this web community for I get to see the beautiful interactions of TEF poetry, songs, stories, pictures that go on around here.

I hope this helps you understand my perspective of the game. Thank you for reading.

(...) What does not suck

Because there's a wave going, I thought I'd jump in and add a twist to things. Thank you Avani and others for starting the wave.

What I see below is in my view but I'm sure many of you will find things you agree with.

-----------------------

What does not suck:

- Having someone you care about.
- Giggles.
- Things that inspire you.
- People that inspire you.
- A rain that freshens the earth.
- Double Rainbows.
- Hugs.
- Favorite foods.
- Invigorating scenery.
- Wonderful smells.
- Love.
- Joy, you can never have enough.
- Creating.
- Sharing happiness.
- Freedom to choose.
- Being able to imagine ANYTHING without limits.
- Dreaming.
- Dancing.
- Smiles.
- Sparkling eyes.
- Music.

Care to share your own? (:

Looking for the veteran players with mad skills...

A rather odd request perhaps but I've found some limitations in the game that I'm not sure what to do with. One is I can't zoom in all the way and take a look at my fawn. At best I can get 20' close up but can't get right up to her eyes, I don't even know what color they are! I know C makes her look at me but she's still too far away.

Second thing, is there a way to go completely in first person mode? I find the immersion to be much better this way for some games and sometimes I just want to look around at the trees/flowers and NOT my deer's back end.

And lastly, I know there are some keybinds to some things (F1-F11 or so) but is there a way to re-keybind everything? I'd like to use the ASDW/1234 keys so I can hide my ui and not have to mouse click every action I want.

Any help in figuring these three things out will be much appreciated.

Thank you for your time.
