I am so thankful for Saix's protection...
I...I can hardly see, the smoke, the water, the wind...the elements that once were held under my control, turned against me...
Color, light, dark, splashes and bursts, all I can see...it's...
terrifying
everything...is so loud, smells so strong, everything, I can feel it, the grass beneath me, the warmth Saix gives off against me...
but he can't always be there, can he?
I, I don't...move, much, anymore, it's...too dangerous, too frightening...
when I woke up, I could barely move...I remember, wanting...
the sound...the river...I could hear it...I...I wanted it...needed it...
so, I, dragged myself to it, nearly fell into the water, I couldn't see anything, bumped into the tree, I...was so relieved, even though it hurt to touch, to move...to breath
I curled up around it...and I...I...cried
and...I slept...
for how long did I sleep...
days...?...when I awoke, it still hurt...but, I could feel it, the scabs, the scars, how much fur do I have left? do I even have fur? maybe I'm just one single mass of blood and scar tissue now...but...no...
I can feel, how things touch, the fur I have left...
I stare into the water...I want to...see...but I can't....
my antlers, are broken...they feel so heavy though...yet so small...
I don't dare venture from this patch of sunlight, my sanctuary, I know this place by memory...
ah...I fear that I have eaten most all of the grass here, so quickly? such a body needs so much to continue to run...
I can feel it...how emaciated I look...can feel the skin stretched over my bones, each bump of my spine that digs against the arch of my back...
but...I can't go anywhere, I can't...I'm...too...I don't want to get hurt, it still hurts just to move...
so...I'll just, stay...here...
maybe something will grow soon...
