Myself is feeling rather down these days, I hope this won't influence the story since I'm still writing it...
Okay, I notice this is getting into random babblings where actually should be "story invitations", so I'll stop this and just say, enjoy reading if you wish to read it.}





« It’s true what you said. »

He looks as if he’s sick over his own words.

« How the freaking hell did you know? »
« It was so clear. »
« It definitely wasn’t! Nobody believed me when I told them. But then… then… »

Toji’s voice breaks.

« Well, me and some others of the younger bucks went searching around Ram’s sleeping spot and there we found… we found… »
« …the bones. »
« Yes! »

He stares at me.

« It was exactly as you told me. He confessed when we showed him the evidence. Our leader hunted him away. Ram was a pity for our herd, he said. »

I laugh.

« What’s so funny? »
« Naïve deer. »
« The leader?! »
« Yes. »
« Is it… is it true that he’s your father? »
« Yes. »
« And then you call him naïve? »
« Well, he is. »



He is here.
My naïve father came to the place he abandoned me at.
I thought you hated this place, my dear, beloved father?

« H…how did you know?! »
« What do you mean, Sir de Broix? »
« You knew the answer. You knew Ram was guilty. But how?! He practiced such a sick method, we could have never guessed the truth. »
« Stop babbling this random stuff, will you, please, Sir? It was so obvious, you just wouldn’t get it into your brain, because you believe in the good of every deer, blabla, no? »
« Wh… what…?! You daughter of a bitch, dare to talk to me like that? »
« … »
« You listen to me, monstrosity face. You are nothing than an unwanted child, do you hear me? You are not allowed to even exist. You can be happy that I brought you to a place where you are safe from enemies, do you understand me? I can always bring you somewhere else, somewhere more terrible, if you continue acting towards me that respectless. Did that get into your small brain behind the ugly face of a human? »
« … »

He’ll never get what he wants, if he always reachs for what’s impossible.



Why is Toji still bothering to bring me food, when I’m such an unwanted and hated child?

« What… what about your mother? »

Such a curious boy.

« Did she have such a… funny face like you? »
« … »
« Tell me, please. I told you everything about me. Now it’s your turn. You never told me anything. »
« That’s nothing of your business. »
« It is. You are my friend. »
« Am I? »
« I hope so? »

I sigh.

« She came from a magical forest. »
« A magical forest? Haha. Magic, you’re kidding. »
« I am not. There’s magic. »
« Magic doesn’t exist. »
« In this Endless Forest, it does. »
« Endless Forest? Now you’re really kidding me. »
« I am not. Now would you listen or shall I stop telling? »
« Oh well. I promise. »
« Fine. I’d tell you you’d better be quiet now. »
« Or what? »
« Or I won’t tell you the story, silly. »
« Ummpf. Alright. »
« In this forest, everyone has a face like me. »
« Really?! »
« I told you to be quiet now! »
« But… but I thought it was some sort of a monstrosity! »
« Shut up. »
« You… you dare to say that to me! »

What a silly, silly boy. I will not say anything else today.
He waits.

« Oh, I’m sorry, then. For interrupting. Please continue telling your story! »

I listen to the dancing butterflies, the cheeky squirrels and the singing birds telling me their stories. These are far more interesting.
