I know they were mad about us using the hacks to get pelts.

Sooo, did they ever mention anything about using the perma devout?

I mean, technically it is cheating to get a pelt, just like the hex-editing. So isn't it the same thing, and shouldn't we not be doing it...? ):

Maybe there's a comment about this in the forums? They are aware of many glitches in the game and allow them to stay in the game(such as airsitting?), from what I've read before.

It was agreed that glitching is not a crime, but changing hex-codes is. Thus perma devout is acceptable, but antlerlessness is not.
If you can do it in the game, go ahead. If it requires doing something with the files in the program, don't do it.

If these policies have changed please inform us.

They said that they didn't

They said that they didn't like people hacking the game and that most of their work on it will be on changing the game so that people can't do it.

They are also working on server-side saving of sets as well, I believe.

The view I'm taking on the

The view I'm taking on the devout pelt is that because you don't go into the actual files of the game, you should be able to use it. To me it's the same as the flying glitch or the air-sitting that we've all come to know and love.
