You have no idea how much I'm in love with this. I think I love the hair the most, and that she's more of a taur than a TEF deer. Her headdress/antlers (?) look(s) like some exposed gnarled tree roots from a swamp. Guh I could go on for hours, thank you for sharing!!!
Thanks so much, guys! The antlers are very much supposed to be tree/branch like, I tried to draw them very organic as if they chose their own path when growing but are still somewhat symmetrical.
I’m generally not a big fan of centaur-like creatures. I guess what I really don’t care for is just plunking down a human from the torso up and an animal below. I really tried to make the “human” anatomy join with and be something as much deer-like as human. I hope I achieved a pleasing combination.
I really love the 'antlers' too as Dag said, it's ear looks similar to a leaf too, fitting with the tree bark assumption.
The little deer between it's hands is also sweet, I can really imagine it watching over that particular one as it runs through the forest.
This is a neat interpretation of a forest spirit! The oak antlers are a nice touch, and I love the spots (fawn spots?) on his back as well as his hair. Everything about him is very 'earthy'. No worries about the human thing; I can't draw them very well either, but you pulled off the human/deer look very nicely! c:
