To some extent, yes. But I'd like to think of it as taking a character I've been fascinated with for a while and combining my love for the forest, and thus bringing myself pure enjoyment.
The movie certainly held my attention, but I wouldn't say he really lived up to the Holmes in the book, unfortunately. I myself want to see it a second time, but I know of others who really didn't find much enjoyment in it. Depends on the person I s'pose :]
Please be sure to make his first month here fun, what with the severe cocaine and alcohol withdrawals he's going to be going through - as there's no such thing as drugs and alcohol in TEF, but Sherlock Holmes was most certainly a user and boozer.
I don't have an issue with anyone playing any character that typically isn't a deer. Not in the least. I just think that if you're going to take a character that's already established, one should try their best to play them as true to character as possible.
That would be like me making a Gregory House deer, and then not giving him a limp. Sherlock Holmes wasn't just a social, weekend alcoholic/drug-addict. It was a serious part of his personality.
Thus, by removing that part of the character...how much of a Sherlock Holmes is it, really?
Well, they don't exactly have opium in the forest, and the pond isn't made of beer....I suppose he could eat a few mushrooms later for a nice kickback?
Why don't you wait awhile and see how this character goes before you decide it won't work? For all you know this whole deer thing could be just a high from his opium intake xD
ahahhahahaaa i love idea perhaps now we shall have an answer to what happened to the goldenpinecones disapirence mystery, but i'm sure it's will be elementy for this deer. Very good idea i will watch with intrest like moriary .... but npo shoving me over waterfalls ok!
