An interaction blog for my main,
Sabel. Come on in and say hello, why don't you?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The air was crisp and thick, fog obscuring the world and all that lay within it. Every now and then rapid hoofbeats and the sounds of tines hitting each other could be heard. And then it would fade... fade into a new sound. The laughter of fawns as they passed, the chuckling of a group as they shared experiences and stories. Yet all of their figures were vague and dark- making any features indistinguishable. Their silhouettes wavered as if they were flames.
'I'm asleep again...?'
Concerned voices and questions from strangers and familiar company. They grow louder and louder, buzzing until-
A pair of deep grey eyes flutter open, spluttering and spitting out dirt as an ebony and white uni-deer flopped over onto her back. She was in the pit at the ruins, and had been there for almost a month now. Dirt and sand had crumbled in, burying her and keeping her out of sight- as well as getting into her mouth and nose. Coughing, the doe quickly stood up and shook out her fur. Clouds of dust burst from it and slowly faded into the air, settling back on the ground. her throat felt quite dry, which certainly wasn't aiding with the coughing. Ears faltering back against her skull, the doe began carefully climbing out of the pit.
"That was probably the worst place I've fallen asleep in... ack!" she choked a bit. "Water... pond..."

"Say, have you ever been to strange places? New Places?" she asked, having gone into a long pause of deep thought.

"Huh?" He asks distractedly before picking up on the question. "Hun, I'm a demon, I've lived in arguably the fucking weirdest damn place there is. And...there's...here." That makes him frown, this place was amazingly odd. "Besides that...I dunno, human's place gets pretty strange sometimes."
Based on his answer, he'd

"Ohhh...home is like nothing you've ever seen, it's...beautiful though most don't realize it." He tells her, already starting to smile. "There are nine circles of hell, the first few are cold but it gets warmer as you get closer to the planet's heart. But as you get further along it gets colder and colder, the ninth circle is full of ice. I've never gone that far so I've never seen Him but I know He's there, everyone does." He doesn't think about how she might not know who He was.
"So many people think hell is ugly." He smiles up at the wind chimes. "But they're wrong. There are halls filled with crystals that glow with this amazing blue glow, they look like stars. There are places where great bones poke through the floors and walls, these huge reminders of the creatures that came before us. Some of them have fossilized into jewels and minerals you'd have to see to believe, bones that have turned into opals and rubies." The little demon misses it dearly, three years have passed since then. It was very likely it'd be many more years before he could return, if They didn't kill him first. "Oh there's dirt, yes, spiderwebs, yes. And yes there are terrible things too. But what place doesn't? It's a terrible beauty. Just like this place, just like Humans. There are miles of tunnels, caverns so large you could fit this forest in it with still waters that reflect the stalactites that took centuries to make." He goes quiet for a long time, lost in thought. Listening to the gentle noises of the wind chimes ringing. "I...I...miss it. I miss it...so much." He says softly.
"They build so much, and
Snake appears to become lost in his visions of the place he longed to return to, yet his description brings Sabel much curiosity. What were crystals? They could shine and glitter? And a place with so many changing temperatures- many beings must live there, and not stray far from the one they are used to. But one term that rang true to her memory was 'jewels'. In the world of sand, she has been introduced to jewelry- one of the many precious, beautiful things humans tended to make. Yet, remains of others... did that mean that they died often? Or that they simply took longer to leave no trace at all? It was a strange concept- as only one thing in the forest that had died currently remained. Bodies would vanish, or be taken. Her facial features relaxed into a distant-eyed look of contemplation, looking down at the grass as her head lay on the ground. "I have no memory of the word before now. Hell. The word itself is very strong in presence... but this sounds like a new world- with both good, and bad things. Why would one think it meant something 'ugly?" she asked uncertainly, glancing over at Snake in his hole.
However, she is met with a gaze of longing- directed at something unseen. It was something unfamiliar- as, though she had often felt it through some others, she had never witnessed any here who would openly display such an emotion. "Why can't you return? Were you told not to?"

Look at him, getting all philosophical. Yuck. He listens to her question about hell and starts laughing. "Oh boy, kid, that's a fucking loaded question! We could argue the semantics for years, and not get anywhere. Hell's like the ultimate bad place, where the bad or mislead people end up. Like, you know, child killers, and well, that list's endless. But a lot of good people end up there too. Most of the fallen for example." He growls a little with the last sentence. "People assume it's a horrible, ugly place. It's...not. Well, not all of it. Some of it is..but hey, it's hell, what'd you expect?"
Why can't you return? Were you told not to? He sighs and glances away from her. "Do you know what banished means?" He asks her softly. "Well, I messed up. Broke a lot of rules. I'm banished from home and all other worlds. Maybe permenatly. They're doing this to me too." Helmut indicates himself with a nod. "It's a just punishment. But, I still want to go home someday. My freinds...." The little demon trails off and shakes his head.

"I think I have heard the word one other time... but I never fully understood it." Sabel replied, pursing her lips and narrowing her eyes in thought. "And they watch you, to keep you from coming back..?"
