Update: I mean- I've found a way to get a certain pelt. Even if someone could tell me if it's like that method, I'd appreciate it.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that you just have to get another deer to cast a spell on you (eating mushrooms for masks, sitting beside a sleeping deer for pelts.)

edit: I'm stupid and forgot to mention that you can only get the Day of the Dead pelt from a deer who is playing on an older version of the forest (sorry I don't know what version it is Sad)
