A ray of light hit her face as she shifted in her sleep, causing her to groan out of frustration to being roused so suddenly. Eyelids fluttering open, the doe stretched out her limbs with a silent yawn, groggily glancing around her. The grass was like a pillow under her hooves. She was still shaky on these new legs, and unsurprisingly tripped over her own hooves a few times. When she made it past the edge of the forest and to the pond, Akane allowed herself to rest by the water.

Her carmine eyes watched the koi swim by each other under the lily pads. She noticed how warm and sunny it was. When was the last time she let go like this? Akane sighed quietly and began to rest her head down on the grass when she suddenly felt her ears prick up. This was new. Every sense heightened and she slowly raised to her feet, eyes flicking about. Someone was there heading this way, and somehow, she could sense it.

Hitaka was silently grazing

Hitaka was silently grazing near a befallen tree not too far from the graveyard. The lushness of the grass was satisfying for her, occasionally she'd stick her nose near the log itself to pick a mushroom from the bark. She snorted and lifted her head to shake her ears. Swiveling them around a few times, she then yawned and trotted towards the pond.
Her gait at a steady motion, she soon reached the stone bridge. Her hooves clip-clopped across like a horse's before she hopped onto the grass. The Sun beat down on her pelt and made the forest around it glow. She could see the white reflection of the water from where she was. As she approached the pond to see the state of the water, she noticed a deer relaxed at the water's edge.

Her reaction at first was

Her reaction at first was delayed when she noticed the doe approaching her. She thought about awkwardly trotting away, but decided against it. Akane awkwardly bowed to this stranger, blink a few times as she lifted herself up again. "Hello..." There was a vague asian accent in her present in her speech. Had this been the first time she'd spoken since she arrived here? Her own voice had startled her, and that was an even bigger surprise. Akane waited silently for a response, shifting her weight from one hoof to another.
