I think my heart skipped a beat just now, I'm not even kidding. I love this. Everything about it.
I love how there's a very faint, cocky smirk on his face; one that someone else can see as anger. It's faint, fluttering across his face, it captures his personality... I can't get over his lips, you did those so beautifully. His eyes truly glow in this darkness, they flare, it's gorgeous...
And I really like his antlers, too. Childless his antlers break often and grow back in a different shape; I can see him being younger here, just condemned to being a deer where his antlers were still strong instead of gnarled and ugly like now. His hair is still smooth and beautiful, which reinforces that idea for me.
The way he slightly looks over his shoulder, going to the spot of moonlight...
...reminds me of 'their' spot. Like he's smiling, smirking, and going there. Waiting, perhaps.
