Iris felt the cool air blow through the forest once more. It blew her thick fur gently, but enough strength to make it stand up and move. Iris closed her eyes enjoy the cool breeze. Her eyes shuddered a bit. “Strange,” she thought. And again it shuddered. Her eyes staid closed out of curiosity for her own eyes.
She waited for the shudder to come back, but it didn’t. Instead a white light flashed in her eyes. It glared deep down upon her. She opened her eyes and tried to shield the light. As she shunned her head away from the light the light slowly dimed down. She slowly opened her eyes till she could see a vast land of sand and ocean.
She could hear churnings…water. She turned her head around confused and wondrous of where she had come. Then hot air breathed down her neck. It went in and out, in and out. She at first ignored it, but the constant huffing of air annoyed her. She turned her head…
…Only to see a deer standing before her. It gasped for air as if it was drowning. It’s eyes wide with terror, it’s mouth open filled with blood, nostrils flared wide. It had gashes upon gashes on it’s week body. Everything about it reeked sickness, death, torture. “Emiva..,” it breathed blood burbled in his mouth.
“What! Um…you must be mistaken I am not Emiva…What has happ-“
“Emiva…why didn’t you just save the others…why didn’t you just see the good. Why! Why did you kill us all,” As the deer screamed it’s last word the happy vast land was filled with deer corpse and skeletons. Hills, and hills of them all dead.
“I’m sorry,” Iris cried in fear. The deer grew closer to her it pushed her closer to the water.
“You fools! You awful fools! You didn’t listen. Unruly beast, brigands, we shall snatch you souls out before you! You are ours! You are ours,” it repeated the words continuously.
Iris felt the water on her hooves now. The blood red water stained her lags. She shivered with pure fear. Then like a roar behind her she turned around in shock. Before her stood a fish the size of the great oak “…And you will be nothing else but bone and bloods.”
The beast tore upon Iris the pain was real, and it tore her heart, her senses and her soul.
“Iris! Iris wake up,” Vessel nudged her hard on her shoulder.
The night was all around. Reality came back to her…
…and so did fear

The air flew past Jen deer as he plummeted slowly. The world felt as if it was slipping behind him. He knew he could make it if he just pushed himself somehow a few swoops closer. But his thinking was short lived when the jaws of another beast splashed out of the ocean before him.
His hope vanished he would definitely fall into the beast jaws and eaten alive. He closed his eyes, accepting his fate. But, as fate has it’s cruel jokes Jen deer did not fall into the mouth of the Megalodon, instead he was slipping and sliding down the back of the beast. He could see the small rocky peninsula. He waited for the time to jump of the beast.
He waited, and waited, until the wait was over when the beast second fin flew before him. He could not stop he had to take the jump. He slid upon the fin and flew off the beast. This…This was flying, or in real case falling.
He prepared his feet for the land, he knew for shore he was going to be injured. But he could not risk breaking his hoof. So with a great thump to the rocks Jen deer had landed on his shoulder leaving and gory gash.
As for the Megalodons the second beast ran into the other Megalodon, biting into the other Megalodon. They plummeted back into the water and they fought madly out of anger and stress that they had lost the fist prey they had had in centuries.
“Jen deer,” Mazey shouted. Her hoofs kicked up sand as she raced towards the injured deer. We she had reached him, his blood spreaded upon the rocks. He sat with the injured arm sticking out. “Jen deer, you did it…you lived.”
The words were unaffected to him “You might as well say I died. With this injured shoulder, and beast like that running around, I’m as good as dead.”
The other deer ran to Jen deer and stared upon the bleeding arm. Perplex licked his shoulder trying to clean the dirt out. Quad stared down word at the rocks, ashamed and in shock that he could’ve lost a deer “Jen deer, I’m so –“
“It’s okay my friend, there was nothing anyone could do. If you remember correctly the Megalodon drove right into us on shore! There was nothing any of us could do,” Jen deer looked at the splashing of the Megalodons still battling one another.
Then a fluttery noise came from out of the sky. Its wings fluttered almost like a butterfly or humming bird. It was Kapper! “Ha-ha! What did I tell you, no time safe to enter the water?” He landed lightly on the ground paying no mind to the razored rocks.
“You cruel foul beast! How dare you laugh at our friends injury,” Srila stopped her hoof hard close to Kappers wing, he flinched a tad but stood his ground.
“There’s got to be another ocean,” Wind howler asked Quad.
“Yes, there must be…Kapper is there another ocean unlike this one,” Quad lowered his head.
“Ha! Of course! The see of sharp waves,” Kapper smiled.
“Why do the call it the,” Rutilus cocked his head.
“Oh! They call it that because the babies of the Megalodons live there…
So many of them there fins look like waves. Looking waiting watching for a nice good deer to eat,” Kapper laughed.
“Grrr!” Rutilus stomped his hoof on Kappers left wind tips. Kapper fluttered and struggled.
“Gah! Let me go,” Kapper cried.
“Not until you help us find a safe place…and how did you know we are deer,” Rutilus sniffed.
“Hmm, well I knew most of you are deer because of your brown deer face…But there just mask aren’t they? You all are the strangest deer ever seen here,” Kapper wiggled.
“You mean there is more deer. And they have real deer faces,” Taliene said delightfully.
“Indeed, but no need to get excited there slaves to the Dygurian Empire,” Kapper frowned. “Such beautiful creatures always gone to waist around here, even the Dygurians aren’t beautiful any more. Such powerful creatures they were. The deer are put to work and tortured every day. It’s terrible, even the fawns work? I use to know a few deer or two along, long, long time ago. The doe was killed in a working accident.”
“What happened to her?”
“I’m not sure, most say that the poor thing got her one of her ears stuck in the gears, or that she was overworked…I like to think she was overworked. The stag was killed by a Dygurian. And the fawn…I don’t know what happened to him…they eat fawns there,” Kapper sighed.
The deer where baffled by what they were hearing. Torture? Why where the deer being tortured for? And, what would happen if they got caught? “We need to get home…,” Srila shivered.
Quad knew what must be done, but he had a feeling of pity for himself, because he knew that his life was going to end here. But then it was only a small sense…
…Right?...
