As they swam through the water with great speed they could hear the churnings of the water…Something was beneath them. There muscles tightened as their legs pushed through the water. They could soon feel the sand rising up from there feet. But the presence of the creature was still there. They were so close to the shore, but yet so far. Perplex could feel splashes of something behind her. She turned around curious…but her curiosity turned into fear as she saw a fin the size of a mountain slice through the water.

“Don’t look back! Don’t look back,” Quad bit Perplexs’ ear and yanked her heavily along. She tugged her ear out of his mouth and swam full force. There feet soon felt the hard sand between there hooves. They threw themselves out of the water as fast as a swallow. But, one splash remained.

Quad looked up, legs spreaded out from the long jump. He arose to his legs with a look of terror. Jen deer was still in the water. “Swim Jen deer! Swim before your very soul is torn out of you!”

Soon the rest where chanting telling him to not give up. Telling him that his life could end at the jaws of a beast the size of the great oak! Jen deers’ feet dragged tiredly to the shore. But it was not over. The beast was still headed full force and with great tenacity. The beast bashed right into the deer, it’s huge skull was shaped like an arrow, it’s eyes where huge and all black. It had teeth the size of fawn. Yes, the Megalodon is what we like to call today…a huge shark.

Wind howler fell to the ground, sand poured from the sky like snow, and it was unclear what had happened. Wind howler could hear the Megalodon shimmy its way back into the water. As the sand began to settle, he could see the figure of most of his friends. But he automatically knew…Jen deer was missing.

Emiva, Rowan, Vessel, Jared, Drium, and Iris all set out for there missing friends. They could still feel the wind blowing in the cracks of the forest. It was a terrible eerie feeling, especially for Emiva and Vessel. They could still remember the change in winds and the huge funnel that gobbled there friends. It only reminded them more of what they where looking for.

They came to the oak where you could hear the noise of the humming roots of the tree. It’s still a mysteries of where they make there noise. They had came here because of Vessels ideas. His predictions was that maybe the humming comes from the other world there friends where at. They could dig a whole with there hooves and dig through the other side. Not bad…For a deer of coarse.

“Alright, we’ll start at this root,” Vessel tapped the large root.

“Um, Vessel, are you even shore we can actually dif through the earth to the other side,” Rowan looked up and down at the tree.

“Why of coarse,” Vessel laughed.

“…Well I’m not doing anything that involves me digging in some old dirt, around some old tree, around some old deer,” Emiva turned her head and scoffed.

“I’m not old,” Vessel growled.

“Whatever, we have deer to save so start digging,” Emiva laughed.

“What? No one will help me,” Vessel stared.

“Well, let’s face it Vessel. This idea of yours is kind of weird,” Iris looked away from the deers death stare.

“Then if you thought it was stupid why didn’t you tell me? Why didn’t anyone at least tell me so we wouldn’t of wasted time,” Vessel stomped his hoof on a huge black beetle. It’s innards where green and splattered all of Emivas’ face.

Everyone stopped moving and stared at the dripping gunk on her face. She took a big breath and she yelled hard into Vessels ears’ “OH MY G-“

“-OD,” Mazey yelled. Jen deer was splashing in the water hooves up in the air struggling to stay float. Now there where many Megaldons, and they rammed him constantly. His head dunked in and out of the water till soon they could no longer see him. Quad had failed to help him, and his hope of getting out…was long gone…

Jen deer swam under the water as best as he could trying to dodge not only the ramming of the creatures, but there jaws as well. There jaws would sneak up from the abysses and clap down hard. He held his breath the best he could. But soon his air had left him and water flooded his body.

A Megalodon charged from down below the water swished as it moved and soon he broke through the water. Jen deer, awoke quickly when feeling air around him. Without thinking, he knew what he was on, and he knew what he had to do. He had to jump from the Megalodons’ very head and land on the small peninsula that was in perfect vision.

He quickly gathered his courage and took the leap of faith.
