I've been wanting to draw this picture since we had the rain, Herla all soaked and miserable, her feather mantle usually pert and fluffy, now plastered down and pathetic looking.

Plus, emo Herla just can't be denied.

Experimenting with cell shading. I dunno. I think it just looks kind of messy @_@

Thanks so much guys! I really do appreciate it. I find cell style shading to be so tricky for some reason, I always struggle with it. And I love cell shaded rain scenes. I can never quite pull them off.

Oh, and I use Photoshop CS2 for my digital art.

I really like her hooves and that neat pattern around the blue part of her fur.

Aw geez, poor Herla! *whips out a hair dryer* Hey, for just an experiment you sure can pull off cell shading rather well! Cell shading doesn't always have to be clean; I like the "messy" look here. Also, the rain effects are fantastic, and the mist rising up is a very nice touch! Now go take cover, silly doe! c:
