She watched as stranger tensed up, showing off her very well made body. Belail snorted lightly, dipping her head and shooting a very sharp gaze her way. Raising her head, the female quickly licked her lips, listening to her questions but not answering know her new little friend Sol would answer them accordingly. Stiffening her neck and allowing her messy hair to sway as she leapt the short distance between the stranger and sol, and listen to them talk.
"We are no tribe, just an accidental meeting of two. I am also not children of this place, I'm assuming that she, " gesturing to Sol, and looking back up to the stranger, " You may call me Missy, Adrasteia."
Adrasteia's eyes were forced to once again come to a halt on Missy's face. He rolled his shoulder's not quite sure why she had suddenly become so tense and why she was avoiding a simple question. Missy had misunderstood what he asked and for a moment he contemplated correcting the doe but instead shut his mouth before any sound could escape it.
"I...see. It is a pleasure to meet you Missy, Soleil." Well since he had been forced into a conversation with the locals he might as well put it to good use. The buck adjusted his posture, legs straight beneath his body and head held sufficiently high to be comfortable but not overbearing to those around him.
"I'm looking for" He paused for a second to think of the right word to describe his target."a fugitive named Do- uh- Sacrilege. Do you by any chance know of him?" He looked somewhat hopeful that his stay would be cut short by the help but wasn't overly enthusiastic knowing how Dorian always kept to himself.
The blue bird keep a very close, and obviously questioning eye on the stranger known as 'Adrastiea' a mouth full of a name. Breaking the tension created by herself, a smug grin crossed her parted lips. Shiny, and sharp teeth laced her delicate mouth as she let out a sound almost like a purr before speaking.
"Your name is so complicated, don't you think... Perhaps I can call you something more kind to the tongue.... Adra." Why not try to have some fun with this obviously tough, and mighty creature. She cocked her head at the sound of an unfamiliar name. "Hmm, no. I have not heard the name before, sorry to disappoint you, however if I do I will let you know. May I ask why, and how they are a fugitive ?"
The female hadn't heard of Sacrilege, not a surprise but Adrasteia still let a look of slight disappointment form on his face. The nickname was fine, Adra, it did sound rather pleasing.
Adra is fine. He shifted his weight once more while thinking of an appropriate way to explain how Sacrilege came to be a target. Adrasteia's involvement in the world rarely required him to interact with anyone so his vocabulary wasn't the best and neither were his social skills. This showed in the way he awkwardly fidgeted and eyed the female before him.
Sacrilege, well let me explain who I am first. I am a demon, one of the first. Unlike the reputation given to us by most other patches in the fabric of existence we serve an important role in maintaining the balance that allows life to flourish. I myself am one of the ones who help maintain that order; one must not suffer too greatly nor have too much good fortune in a life-cycle. It is my job to keep the distribution of good and bad in check. Sacrilege took something from the world, something that shouldn't have been taken therefor it left an imbalance in the world, he must pay with his own life for the one he took in order for the balance to once again be restored. Adrasteia wasn't sure if his explanation was good or even easy to understand, it was a task that was so instinctual for him that it required to explaining.
Previously she was uninterested in the stranger but now they peaked her interest quite highly. The beast was okay with her nickname, and went on to explain who they them self were and who the other they were looking for was. A demon? That wasn't new to her... in fact Belail herself was a deity of the demon kind. She had no set job, only the power to balance emotions which was in some way similar to Adras.
The avian like creature ruffled her neck and stretched her neck to come off as regal.
"A demon? How interesting, you see I too am a demon of sorts. Though... I can only balance emotions, make one happy, or sad, even mad," her tone was very sing songy, the words rolling off her tongue like silk. Captivated by the story she wondered what he had stole to make them so angry.
"May I ask... what did this thief take that was so important?"
He cocked his head to the side taking another look at the female. A demon? She certainly didn't look the part but then again he had met some rather unexpected creatures in his long lifetime so he wasn't one to judge. A simple nod in acknowledgement was the only thing the female got from Adrasteia.
The black deer looked away briefly as he swatted away another insect trying to land on his back. When he turned his attention back to the female he looked ready to speak.
A life. He took, a life. It was brief but the words were filled with sadness and a slight aftertaste of disgust.
