On My Mind: Depression, and a Proposal!

Something is wrong.

My head feels funny, and I am bothered by the most peculiar things. The butterflies bring me no joy as their brightly colored wings fold and stretch before my eyes. I roll in the flowers, to feel something, yet I find my mind wandering, staring up at the tree tops and letting the light sting my eyes as it filters down through the canopy. I find seclusion in the forest of white-barked timber. I search out the old ones, whose trunks have grown thick, and I hide myself within them, strangely content to not be seen.

This isn’t me.

So many apologies I’ve been making lately. So many promises of a better tomorrow. And then tomorrow comes…and I find myself in an even deeper state. I greet my friends, do my best to put gusto into the meeting, but I find my energy is waning, and I’m far more content to stand back and watch the fun unfold around me than to be a part of it. My friends do not understand…I couldn’t possibly expect them to ‘ither, for I myself do not understand what has come over me. They look at me expectantly, as though I am their leader…and I am lost. I haven’t the voice to tell them to go on without me, to pay me no mind. They seem saddened…and I myself cannot ask why.

I do not greet strangers in my usual forthright nature. In fact, I find myself being overwhelmed by others lately. Perhaps that…SS character has made me nervous of others. Just today I found myself panicking amongst a group of overzealous stags. I found myself…angry. Despite running from them, shaking my head and cowering from their spell games, they would not leave me alone. I tried to run away, and yet I was torn, for my friends were among the group. They did not understand my torment. They would not follow, and I feel ashamed for expecting them to. Why should I ruin their fun?

Have you ever met Anzel in the forest...?

Anzel: You probably have all heard of me by now. My name is Anzel. Some call me the Ghost Deer, Blackhoof calls me Nirish...I feel that Ghost Deer fits quite well.

I flicker in and out of social existence in the forest. I fear that many believe me to be rude or impolite. This is not true, you must trust me. I cannot see you. And if I can, you may not see me. But it is rare that either happen, it all depends of the desires of the Twin Gods.

I query...who all has 'met' me in the forest? I know I've seen many of you in the forest...or, at least, your pictograms. But how many of you have seen me?

And if you met me...what was it like?

Did you already know my Human, and follow me? Did I appear peculiar to you, possibly lacking set or some movement?

Or did you query as to why I completely disregarded your existence, thinking me a shallow, arrogant deer?

I'm curious. Is there any way that you can think of for me to show respect to the many deer who know not that I experience this...ghostliness? I feel so bad at times, knowing I may have offended some.

Excluding sitting on Sleeper, the deer with the pictogram like a deer, who transformed himself into a dove.

I loathe doves.

They are cruel.

I thank you if you've taken the time to read this, and I thank you more if you respond. I want to know how the other deer feel about me.

I am off to rest in the forest a while, to see if I might catch the scent of some others anytime soon...

[Symbol]'s Bio

This updated bio includes my own continuity of the Forest that I started in my mind when I first joined in April 2007. Since the game is so versitile, everyone can play with their own story in mind without it clashing with the Forest continuities of others.

Name: The pictogram, Redkora, or 'Kora.

This deer came into the world as a full-grown stag. Like other deer, his body was drawn from the dust of the magical forest floor, and his being is bound together by the very magical vibrations that pulsate through the Forest. In this sense, the deer are not only in the Forest, but are OF the Forest. They are as part of the forest as the air, trees, rocks, and water. The deer are moving components of a single magical organism. The Forest can not be without the deer, and the deer can not be without the Forest; however, neither can be without the Great Twins who wove the fabric of the Forest from their being.

The object of this short passage, this particular stag, remembers the first fawns, the creation of the birch forest and all that it contains, the first zombie stags, and Demon/Walter's [somewhat] younger days.

He is a kind stag who loves to play and joke around. He understands that the meaning of this world is to provide a place of joy, and he wants to honor this. He loves to run and jump in circles, and he sometimes flies to get from place to place. When he spars with other stags or plays pranks, it is never meant to be malicious. He is also wise enough to try to honor the feelings of the other deer and only lets totally loose with his shenanegans when he knows it is permissable. That doesn't mean that mistakes are made, though.

He was originally more of a loner. After learning the ways of the deer and feeling accepted, he generally likes company, even if it is just to sit and listen to the Forest. He still has his solitary moods from time to time.

Radio Transmission

There are so many good stories out there, I've been inspired to write a little one of my own. It's about how I ended up in the Forest...

"Arithmetic! Where are you going?" Her mother's voice rang out.
"Right over here, mom." Arithmetic sighed. Her mother was always so protective. Too protective. "You know I prefer to be called Radio!"
"I know, but Arithmetic is your real name, and what did I tell you about running off like that?" Her mother's tone of voice grated Arithmetic's nerves. It was the kind of tone that implied something absolutely dreadful would happen if her mother did not know her daughter's exact location at all times. "What if you were to get hurt?"
"I won't get hurt, mom." Arithmetic turned her head and rolled her big, brown eyes as her mother trotted up to her. This time her mother sighed.
"You're never going to listen, are you?" Her mother's expression was stern, but her light green eyes revealed a tinge of sorrow. She knew Arithmetic would never be the daughter she had hoped for. With another sigh, she curled her legs beneath her and rested in the tall grass.
"But I always listen, mom!" Arithmetic gave her mother an exasperated look before prancing over to a patch of purple flowers. Her favorite kind!
"Don't go too far," Her mother warned. She watched as Arithmetic romped and played in the patches of grass and flowers; however, the stress of keeping track of her daughter all day caught up with her, and despite trying her hardest to keep her heavy eyelids open, she fell asleep...

Argh, Twitter.

Anzel: You drive me freaking INSANE!

I happen to sleep in an area where birds may land, and I leave.

I come back.

And you little Twitters are there.

Peck, peck..peck peck....PEPKDGJNSRNFGHFJNGBNXDKJZDKF

Freaking psycho birds. Sometimes I think you're worse than doves.

...no. Not worse. But pretty darn close.

EVIL. DEMON. TWITTERS.

Me: If you don't know what I'm referring to...

I'm referring to these evil little birds that peck a few times on the ground. Maybe on a rock, maybe on a tree. Peck, peck...then they go INSANE.

o____o;;;

Then they repeat.

And you can step on them, but they won't go away.

Emperical Set, anyone?

Anyone remember my Emperical Set concept?

I got bored and doodled it again:

As I said in the Pictures area of this site:

"Just another sketch of my Emperical Set idea (not empirical ;p). I can't help it, it's so fun to draw!

Don't make fun of my legs, I have trouble drawing them still x.x Also...the reason the back end is smaller, is because of the way the deer is positioned...it doesn't have shrimpy back legs, lol.

Here are the older sketches of the set, if you've never seen them:

If this was ever a real set, Anzel would wear it full-time. Still not sure what colors it would be, though. The lines on the mask and pelt would be lighter than the antlers and the mask, which would be lighter than the pelt. The hooves would be dark like the back and the eyes/area under the eyes. The tail also has a bit of the dark color like the back does. The circles on the antlers are holes."

HELP

How do you login to endless forest on the game. I am just a generic and I can't figure out how to login.

He adores Quamar, as he was the first deer he met ^_^ If he does the "fear" action, just nuzzle him or be friendly. Beware - he may run away. As long as a doe is with him, he won't be too afraid of stags, but will stay nearby the doe.
