Relationships: Kail feels a stronger bond with her father than her mother. Perhaps this is why she seems to bond more easily with males in general and tends to feel like she's outside feminimity. She hates to disapoint him but feels she often does. While she may not act like it does, his opinion means a lot to her. Her mother hasn't gained as much respect in her eyes. She's never felt very close to her or understood by her, and tends to rebell more under her authority. She feels some resentment toward her for not being very involved in the teens life.
Her feelings toward her cousins are uncertain, as she never sees them much. The age gap between them isnt a lot yet she always feels as though she's the little kid when she's around them. Fulu walked along the edge of the water. She looked to the side, watching her daughter carefully play around in the shallows, making frogs jump. She smiled, her black eyes twinkling under her bird mask. She lowered her head to nibble at some dandilions. She saw Kailani get a little too close to the deep end.

"Watch out, Kailani, you're pretty close to the deep end!" She called over to her. She nodded slightly as she saw the little blue and white fawn come towards shore again.

BUMP BUMP

Glittering white snow had covered the ground completely. Every pine needle had a blanket of snow coating it in the trees. Appearantly a blizzard had blown by, and in the aftermath, few dared to move. Any footprints in the snow could take away from the beauty left behind by the storm. A few late flurries continued to float down to the ground from the reddish gray sky. Threw the clouds the silethout of the moon could be seen sinking in the horizion, reflecting silvery light into the forest. In that same moment the sun seemed to be raising, sending warmth threw the dawn.

Half buried in the snow, Zerg lifted her head, making an awkward head shaking motion to shake the snow off her long mask. She had recently shed off her typical magpie antlers, leaving behind a black velvet duo of stumps where her horns would regrow in the spring. Her orca styled pelt had whitened into a secretary style with the winter as well. She blinked a few times drowsilly, focusing her reddish brown eyes threw her long mask's eyeholes. "Wow... beautiful..." she thought, looking over the snow coated landscape from where she lay. A short shiver wracked her body, displacing the snow around her. "But cold..." she thought, sighing. A cloud of warm air formed under her mask, melting a few stray snowflakes that took the time to land on her mask after it had been shaken off. Slowly she began to move within her nest of snow, raising into a stand. She streached out, and tossed her head slightly to undo a crick in her neck, and tossing her mane over to one side at once.

I don't think I've ever mentioned it to anyone, but I'm the altar server at my church. So today when I went, my priest handed me an envelope as soon as I walked into the door. He normally gives me a little money for Christmas, so I got $50. I feel just slightly rotten, though, because this year my job was constantly scheduling me on sunday mornings, so I tried to serve as much as I could but I missed a lot of sunday masses because of work.

So later today, I went to an old friend of our family's. She's an old lady named Helen who is friends with my parents, and every year we'd go to her house to exchange gifts. Well it slowly went from everyone going to just me going. I spent an hour at her house, us talking about what's been going on, and getting to meet her great-nieces and nephews. She gave me an envelope for the family, so when I got home there was $600 in there. We told Helen not to give us too much because she's been so good to us, but here we are accepting $600 from her. Anyway, I got $100 of it, so I've gotten $150 today.

Today we set up a table in the living room to put the presents on. We normally would put the presents on the couch, but since we have Brandy we don't know how she is going to react with all the stuff on Christmas Day. Other than that, I wrapped my last gift and we have it sitting on the table until Christmas.

So the big news about today is that it's going to go down into 28-30 degrees here tonight. We also supposedly have a 50% chance of rain. I'm praying that it rains, because I would love to see some snow. It's one of the unfortunate things about living so far south in the US that snow is rare here. I've only seen it twice down here, both times being in my childhood. Even just a little bit would be nice to see.

Yeah...it's not helping my Secret Santa giftie run to the finish line x333 I'll get it done on time, I still have a few more days, but uugh...it'll take so very, very, very many hours. x_x;
