A snowstorm and power company stupidity fried my old CPU.
I have a new one, an e-machines CPU, and my old screen.

Apparently, TEF does not like this new CPU unit, despite the fact that the graphics card, sound card, memory, and RAM are all up one level from the computer I had last.

I can't log in with anyone but Rev, due to the way Windows7 handles files. But even when I do, I'm only getting between four and six frames a second - even with all detail down.

I can't have Rev dance. I can't follow people. I can't 'fly'. I can barely jump, and I can't interact with people, because the button-click is so slow that by the time I'm done GETTING to the button, they've moved on.

I apologize for not being in-forest, but this sudden lag, despite the new CPU unit, is REALLY getting on my nerves. And I've already got ENOUGH on my nerves as of late.

Unless I can figure out a way to get the forest to run with AT LEAST 11 frames per second, I won't be playing it. Not for a while, anyway. 11 f/s is what my last computer ran it with.

I will still RP Revtheyr in-forum, write, and all that. But I won't be in-forest until I get this situation ironed out. I refuse to play with that much lag, after being accustomed to none at all.

I just wanted to say hi to all of the other deer on here. I found out about this game at deviant art and it has been lots of fun so far. I do get a little lost though! I didn't know the forest would be so big. x3

This is pure silliness. Yesh. Oddly and randomly inspired by all the Sims stuff with deer folk all humanized and whatnot and since I do not have Sims, I was like “I can writez this instead!” Mawahahaha. So this is if Rakkaus and Rovaniemi lived together and Atvana just likes to manifest whenever –wherever It pleases and so Atty is like a third roomie. Enjoy!

Random story. Enjoy

The night was cold. Fortunately for the deer, they all slept well. The air was bitter, but it enveloped and comforted their warm bodies, and they all had pleasant dreams this night.

Wandering around was a lone figure. His footsteps seemed to make the ground beneath glow, and on occasion a grasshopper fled from his feet. He looked up at the sky, admiring the stars he could see in the openings of the forest canopy. They were beautiful, and he often wondered when he would ever visit them. The moon was large and a red hue. The stag's eyes were open to him. It was a sign.

He stopped near the old Ruins. The tombstones and idols were kind to him, like good friends he knew for a long time. "Tonight must be the night.", he said to them, "The moon is close to the land this night, and it is perfect for your departure." He waited a minute for their response...

...and then...

Rising from the ground were small flames, each a light blue color that flickered and seemed to float in the air. "My friends, it is time.", the stag said to them.

The wisps collected around the red-faced stag. He was a ghost just like them, but he was different...he was gifted. The stag was reborn by the Twin Gods' magic, and given a particular task. He was the guardian of lost souls, both living and deceased. He never had a chance at life himself, but he was a kind spirit who would always be there for those who needed him.

The souls that he called this night were of the recently deceased. They met their end earlier in the year, and the forest gods gave them a home at the Ruins of the Endless Forest. This night was special. This night...

"Allow me to ease this process.", he said to them, "Your bodies have been given to the earth. Your families have honored your passing, and the gods will guide you to a beautiful afterlife."

The wisps began to rise toward the sky.

It's been a while.
I couldn't take it anymore.
I couldn't take not being in the forest. I love the forest.
But I've been on a mac for... For well over two years.
And as we know, macs and TEF don't go together well.

Before I switched to the dark side, I liked to do this thing where I'd go and stand on the platform in the Ruins, and conduct some sort of Sermon Ritual thing.
I planned to do it every night at midnight, EST.
It would go something like this:
I'd start promptly at midnight. I'd bow. Everyone would bow back.
For the next 5-10 minutes, or until people seemed like they were getting bored, I'd go through a variety of actions, hoping people would mirror them.
Usually, they did. It was fun having a group of 6 or so deer doing the same actions in response to me.
After the sermon was over, I'd run off to a tree, and we'd all cast spells on each other.

This only lasted a few sessions before my father got sick and I had no time.
By the time I had time for TEF again, I was on a mac.

But!
Today, I went on a rampage. After several program downloads, a lot of fiddling, and some frustration, I managed to get TEF running on my mac, on the mac side.
It's clunky as all hell. (2 FPS)
But it works.

So I'll be at the Ruins, on my platform, tonight at 12AM EST. That's in a little over an hour.

I hope to see some of you there.
