The afternoon was slowly ending. As it was often the case these last days, Cedrelÿa spent most of her time with the beautiful dark buck, Aniu. She reminded to have met him the first time during her childhood, and regreted to didn't have the chance to grow near him. Indeed, when she sees now how much they spend good time together, she thinks also that she would probably never felt so alone when she was yet a little fawn rejected by the others.
Now, they are both young adults, and she didn't know yet all his story. But this was not a problem for her to enjoy his presence. She couldn't explain why, but she always feel joyful only seeing him. Cedrelÿa appreciates so much the "cuddle" side of her dear friend, it's like if she had the love of the mate she always hoped to have. She thinks romantics feelings start to grow for him, but she doesn't want to accept them for the moment ... The fear ... The fear to lose his friend, if these feelings are not reciprocal. Doesn't want to be deceived as it was the case with Schism. And ... She sees perfectly that Aniu is not totally comfortable yet with the new urges an adult can have.
Anyway, she takes advantage of their cuddle moments, where she can nuzzle him tenderly, drowning her muzzle in his dark fur ... This fur, so attracting, so sweet ...
After caressing his back, Aniu went to a tree to have a little nap. Cedrelÿa followed him, and tenderly snuggled against the tall buck. His warm body was so reassuring. When they are together, Cedrelÿa doesn't think about her family or her friends ... It was like if she only need to be with Aniu to be happy. But she stayed suspicious, her heart was enough broken for the moment ...
Aniu faced forward, but his eyes watched Cedrelÿa as she cuddled into him. It was only a second, but the black buck felt nervous. Unsure. Is this really friendship they are sharing, or perhaps there is more? There had to be. The touch did not feel friend-like, it was almost like.. an intimate feeling.
Or maybe Aniu was just overreacting. There couldn't be anything in between them!
Could there?
The buck shook his head roughly and rest his chin on the grass, smiling when a few birds came to sit on his antlers. However, warned them that- if they ever pooped on him; he would snatch them up and feed'em to a predator. No joke.
More time passed and Aniu was growing anxious every minute. That crave is back, and it was twice as worse because Cedrelÿa was so close.
Aniu wiggled away from Cedrelÿa- looking at her apologetically.
"I-I'm sorry," He swallowed, "Not feelin' too well. Don't want to get you sick, just in case."
Aniu didn't like to lie, but he was too embarrassed to say the truth.
Cedrelÿa was in a little dream, glued against this friend she always found attractive. While she was dreaming of pink clouds and delicious things -that she prefered not share-, she felt some uncontrolled jerking movements against her back. She opened with difficulty an eye ... "Is this in my dream ?" she thought ... Her second eye wake up .... "Earthquake ?" Of course not ... That was only Aniu, erf ! But he seemed more clumsy and embarrassed than in her dream.
Cedrelÿa raised her head, and gazed at him, her ears twitching in his direction, as to ask what happened. She heard attentively his explanations, tilting her head on her left side, and slightly smiling seeing his embarrassement. He was so cute in this state. But obviously, she wasn't fooled. "I see ... " She stopped few seconds, and dared to tell him what she thoughts, as she doesn't like to lie, and even less to her friends. "Aniu ... I ... I only wanted to tell you I know what is disturbing you ... And I would let you know that there is no problem for me, no need to be embarrassed with that ... It's natural after all ?" Cedrelÿa felt she was blushing ... Indeed, she already regretted what she just said, afraid her sentence could be misunderstood. She quickly tried to make up what she previously answered him. "I just meaned ... you're not obliged to hide this to me. I like to be close to ... you. It would be a shame to not continue to share such great moments only because of ... "that"." Cedrelÿa blushed more again, not sure to have taken out the possible incomprehension with these last words.
Aniu just sat there- staring. Staring at Cedrelÿa and unable to respond to her words. H-How did she know? Was what was going through the buck's mind over and over again. In this moment; Aniu never felt like running away so badly before that he was shaking. He swear he could feel flames coming out of his cheeks.
The black buck stared at the ground, his voice didn't want to come out.
------ It took Aniu twenty minutes to finally speak.
Aniu's body had finally stop shaking and he began to grow a bit of courage to speak, but not without making a fool of himself.
"C-C-Cedrelÿa.." He stuttered miserably, "What I've been f-f-feeling lately is because I've become a man. I know that. I have to work very hard to cope with them when.. w-w-when I'm around you." Aniu stopped to take a couple of breathes; having a hard time calming down, but continued before he could chicken out.
"I need to find a mate some day, but not right now." The black buck looked at Cedrelÿa with gentle eyes- wanting her to understand so badly, "I like you. Very much, though I wish to wait. I want to wait at least till I'm one years old, because I feel like I've only just started living." Aniu did his best to word himself correctly, but that didn't stop the worry.
"I-I-If you'll wait for me.. we c-c-could be.. if you want t-t-that is.." With that; Aniu rest his head back on the ground with a *thump*, exhausted.
Cedrelÿa totally understood that the young buck didn't want a mate for the moment. Even if she was a little deceived about his answer, she couldn't help but melt face to his adorable clumsiness.
However, his last sentence really touched her, even if she wasn't sure about Aniu's sincerity about this ...
Cedrelÿa tried to help his friend, telling him with her soft, deep, and reassuring voice "Don't be so stressed Aniu ... I really can understand your desire to be free actually ... It's normal. We have the same age ... And like you, I have to cope with contradictory feelings: I want to be free, but I also have a high desire of become a mother that I can't hold back ... And ... I above all want to be loved by someone, I want to feel happy close to someone who will never leave me alone ..."
Cedrelÿa didn't feel totally comfortable about reveal all her thoughts to someone ... "I hope I don't afraid you with all this, Aniu. I'm so attached to you, I don't want to loose a close friend because of my stupid and strange mind ..."
Her muzzle came close to his left ear, and she confessed, shyly, in small voice "Concerning your last ... words. I c-c-can wait-t ... you ... But ... I'm afraid your heart will be for another ... doe ... before this time comes."
Cedrelÿa lowered slowly her head, her eyes half-closed and lost in fuzziness ... She was sad, only thinking he could love someone else. The fact he could leave her alone because of the fear to see she was too attached to him also started to destroy her fragile heart.
As Cedrelÿa spoke, Aniu took this time to collect his thoughts and take deep breathes. Some tension released when the doe understood his situation, but quickly returned when Cedrelÿa mentioned becoming a mother. This had Aniu uneasy; making him dig his hoof into the ground. The guy was no where near ready to think of having a family- the thought itself scared him silly. Come on, Aniu, say something! The buck's mind screamed, but instead of listening to the voice; a quick nod was all Aniu was able to muster up.
When Cedrelÿa continued talking, Aniu couldn't help but let out an unattractive 'snort' when she mentioned being afraid of her. "Come on, Cedrelÿa, you should know that I'd never run away from you." He replied honestly and knew he was speaking the truth.
Cedrelÿa's next words surprised him, and also made his cheeks fume. Will she really wait? Were the words that questioned his mind over and over again, and remained unanswered. The buck guessed quickly that the answer to that lies in the future, and for the time being, dismissed the thought. Instead; Aniu focused on that last part of her sentence, "I don't want just any doe. I want someone who already has a spot in my heart."
Cedrelÿa noticed Aniu was uncomfortable at some moments, more precisely when she talked about her desire to be a mother. Of course she wants it, like certainly most of the does. But that was her hormones who ordered her that actually, because she didn't think she had enough experienced life to know how to take care correctly of fawns. No, actually, what she strongly wanted was a mate ... A stag who could understand her, love her without think about other does. She regreted to have talk to him about this desire to mother ... And yet, she knew how much stags could be embarrassed by this type of desire, above all young ones.
The aquatic doe was reassured by Aniu's words, concerning the fact he'll never be afraid of her. She had to admit: "Pffff ... I know you'll never leave me alone, I spent enough time with you to know that but ... You must know I was also deceived by someone in the past ... Someone who couldn't help but go away from me because of his urges." Cedrelÿa felt her heart tighten while she was remembering Schism, tooking advantage she slept to leave and spent time with Nile, a doe who wanted him as mate at this time.
The finned doe tried ardently to think Aniu will never be like Schism ... But she was too afraid he started to flirt with some does because of his hormones he didn't manage actually ... But if he'll never learn to manage them ? If, like Schism, he'll never stop to hear more his urges than his heart ?
As always, many questions was swimming in Ced's head ... No, no, she has to STOP to think about all this ... It will make her depressed, and she didn't want to live that anymore ... Aniu never acted wrong with her for the moment ... No need to imaginate things which never happened.
* mind reset *
The aquatic doe felt more reassured when Aniu assured her he didn't want any does. "I'm happy to see we have the same opinion regarding this ... I must admit, I sometimes can be attracted by handsome stags but ... I rarely have romantic feelings for someone ..." She stopped, swallowing with difficulty her saliva. "In fact ... it happened two times: for ones I was deceived, and for the second ones ... I live them actually for you." Her voice was shaking now, afraid she was to scare the young buck with this unbelievable declaration. But nothing couldn't stop the doe, who was revealing all that she had in her heart. "You're ... sp-special to me, really ... even if I can't put words on this. I can't define our .... rel-l-lation ... all I can say is that it's very special, lovely, and that my heart is appeased when I'm with you."
The doe immediately hid her head behind Aniu's neck, taking care to not hurt the buck with her long teeth. Her head was now glued to his fur, and she closed strongly her eyes, hoping forget quickly that she could afraid the young buck with all these revelations.

Wow, length record xD ... Thanks to my disturbed little doe :').
Aniu watched as Cedrelÿa's expression change into many emotions, the buck knew she was deep in thought and allowed her to think while he gazed at the oddly tall trees that covered The Endless Forest. Aniu was always curious as to why there weren't many other plants that grew around this land, but he figured it was the Gods' wish and decided to question no further.
The black buck snapped out of it when he heard Cedrelÿa finally speak. She was decieved? By who, I wonder.. Aniu's cheeks puffed up like a balloon, feeling a bit pissy about his friend being hurt by another man.
The buck's cheeks deflated when he noticed the panic growing on Cedrelÿa's face. He tilted his head in question, but did not interrupt her thoughts.
As the marine continued speaking; Cedrelÿa had suddenly revealed her feelings for the black buck. Though Aniu was touched and a little excited, he couldn't help but feel sadness too. The guy was just not ready for such a commitment-- he knew nothing of love and he still had much to learn.
..However, Cedrelÿa did say that she will wait for him. This fact made Aniu's decision final.
"I accept your feelings," He began, "but we will wait for when the time is right to take a step forward." Aniu shivered when Cedrelÿa glued herself to the back of his neck, causing him to be unable to continue talking.
Cedrelÿa felt the fur of his friend was rising up. She was deeply touched and reassured also by the fact she apparently didn't leave him unmoved. And when she heard he accepted her feelings ... Her eyes suddenly became wide open, her heart seemed to stop to beat, the shock didn't let her to rise her head. She was here, her head yet glued against his neck, starting shiver because of all these emotions which happened at the same time.
After some minutes without saying nothing, the aquatic doe open her mouth "Oh Aniu ... Of course we'll take our time ! We have all our life in front of us ! I want to take advantage of each time spent together, like we already did until know."
She didn't know what to say more ... She didn't want to say more ... She had enough talk, and even too much. The cold creature rubbed her head a last time against him, before gaze at him with a large smile, her eyes sparkling.
His tense muscles finally relaxed, but his face masked confusion as he felt Cedrelÿa shiver. W-Was it something I said? He wondered in a panic, but was once again confused when the marine doe suddenly rubbed her head affectionately against me, followed by a cute smile. Found himself chuckling, pressing his forehead against Cedrelÿa's and closed his eyes.
Stayed like that for a little while- enjoying the closeness before a loose twig detached itself from a branch and landed on, you guessed it, Aniu's head. Snapped him out of a comfy moment caused his face brightened red. Angry.
Aniu muttered curses under his breath while sitting himself back up.
She felt as if she was ... totally reassured. Even if Aniu was clumsy, he was the one who knows how to reassure her. Cedrelÿa only needed nice moments of tenderness to feel good, and feel liked. She had the habit of their closeness, but when he pressed his forehead against her, she couldn't calm this heart which was beating now quicker and stronger. She really appreciated he didn't become afraid of her, after this declaration ... And above all, she appreciated he continued to give her tenderness whereas he decided to wait until the good time to take a step forward.
She suddenly felt Aniu backed-up, and wondered immediately what she could did wrong. But when she saw this little twig between his two antlers, and Aniu eyeing it up, she couldn't help to laugh ... The fact he was angry made her laugh more again, but she tried to be more discrete, to not hurt him. The aquatic doe came to him, and gave his cheek a lick "Sorry for this but ... I prefer see you confused than angry !" The doe had a special sense of humor, a type she often was alone to appreciate. She chuckled before give Aniu an exaggerated funny smile, at the point we could count all her teeth and ... appreciated the little rest of grass she ate earlier, stucked between two of them.
Aniu felt himself jump as Cedrelÿa's tongue suddenly flicked his cheek-- the buck swore he saw steam coming out of his skin. She was right, though, his anger was immediately replaced by confusion again. It took him a moment to understand what she was doing; Aniu failed to keep the sides of his mouth from twitching into a smile when the marine doe began to laugh.
However, while Cedrelÿa smiled, the black buck's eyes became fixed on a piece of grass that was stuck in between her teeth. At first it was a giggle, but hell, it was so funny to Aniu that he started bursting out into laughter-- shifting himself so he can hide his face in between his front legs. His body shook with the laughter that just kept rolling in.
Cedrelÿa didn't understand why Aniu's laughters were overreacted. But she suddenly remembered that he gazed her mouth before starting to laugh ... God, no !! That couldn't be ... Sh*t ! Cedrelÿa immediately understood what was the subject of this exaggerated laughter ... She felt terribly ashamed ... That was not sexy at all ! Her cheeks were now no longer blue but colored by a vivid red, and she gazed at the ground ... Searching how to take her revenge.
Staring at the patch of poppies near them, she had the perfect idea. She digged up some of them, and decorated his manly antlers at lightning speed. "Okay 'guy' ... Do you feel again your male's urges now ?"
She bursted out into laughter. Yes, she reminded Aniu hated girly things.
Aniu let out a boyish grunt, and stood up. His cheeks were once again puffed up in anger, added with his nose wrinkled in disgust. Aniu bowed his head and knocked his black, white tipped antlers against the tree they have been resting beside. The buck made a sound that was almost growl-like as he stopped on the fallen flowers until they were destroyed.
"Oh, haha, laugh it up!" Aniu barked while he stomped on the ground.
Aniu was so sexy, when irritated. Cedrelÿa couldn't stop to admire him, with a little smile. But she quickly went close to him, to be forgiven."Aniu ... I only teased you kindly ! You know I'm a little bit crazy, ha ha !"
She glued her head under his chin, her ears flattened back, and started to close her eyes. She was sure he'll forgive her, he'll not be able to resist to her charm.
Aniu has spent the last number of hours afraid and guilty of what was to come. His mind was filled with memories of their time together; the touches and the spark that flew between use each time we saw each other.
Cedrelÿa... I'm so, so sorry.
Of course the buck knew apologies meant nothing; Aniu was going to break her heart. His own heart was thumping fast at the thought of possibly never seeing her again- that Cedrelÿa will hate him forever. It would also be extremely selfish of him to ask to keep her friendship.
It would be a lie if I said I don't love you. There will always be a part of me that will stir up when I see you.
Hah, Aniu was not convinced that Cedrelÿa would be interested in what he has to say after confessing his feelings towards Moon.
The buck sighed and stepped out from under the Crying Mother's tears- jumping up the small wall of earth to get out. Aniu shook off his pelt while keeping his eyes shadowed under his Orca mask.
"I wonder where you are now.. Cedrelÿa." The black buck wondered out loud.
