Bastilion and Amary screen edit

edit: maybe it's just me but it seems a bit fuzzier now than it was before posting it x.x;

Sort of an old screenshot. The same one I used in that comic about the interlocking antlers. But it's a good one. And I've been wanting to make a screenshot edit of these two.

It seems like I always choose the same pose and position for my screen edits. X3; The one of Janja and Mel, and the one of Oisin and Polt... But I like the ones with them sitting together like this. And it's just easier to use a back view, so I don't have to deal with the faces.

Bast was pretty simple to do. I really like how Amary came out. I created duplicate layers, and then I had to erase around her in one layer, and change the "hue/saturation" and "color balance" to get the purple. I forgot her flowers. I could have probably taken some from another screen shot. *shrug* Oh well. And I left her antlers alone, because when I tried to change their shape, I couldn't get it to look right. I'm really pleased with her hair. Bast looks a little fat now, though. X3; I'm also not too sure about the shadow. I can't decide whether or not it would have been better to just leave it out. There is no shadow in the original screenshot because I usually have them turned off.

I'd post the original screenshot but I can't find it now.

Back views of deer couples

Back views of deer couples are probably better since it makes it seem more like they're sharing a private moment. =]
I love the way their fur looks. Looks really soft on Bast. (He doesn't look "fat" to me either. He's kinda big anyway. ;D It's just muscle and fur.) And whoot, you got rid of the brown pelt's spots! XD
Cast shadows can be tricky and give me trouble too. This one looks pretty good though.

@Sarie: thank you ^^ @Pega:

@Sarie: thank you ^^

@Pega: You're right. I'm not sure how he ended up looking a little bigger. I think it's because part of Amary's body is actually hidden because of the way they're sort of "squished" together.
Yeah. Blending and then painting over a little bit for the "furry" effect. That's pretty much all I had to do with him.

This is so beautiful.
