ATTN EVERYONE

As you have likely heard, server tests went on for about a week.

BUT, unfortunately, Michael didn't mention on the front page or anywhere where people would really notice that...you needed to post how the forest was for you during certain times. He posted a topicabout it in the Problems & Bugs section, but nowhere else.

If ANYONE remembers TEF improving or degrading a bit on SPECIFIC days for the past week, during the time in which the tests were taking place, PLEASE POST THEM HERE!!!

For example:

August 22nd - Played in the morning; connected and got the pictograms to fast in a snap. Frames per second was greater than it has ever been for me, even when no one else was on.

THAT WAS JUST AN EXAMPLE;; just making sure you don't think that was a true statement, because I can't be sure.

---

The server tests took place randomly, and no one was told when the back-up server was or wasn't up. But I know a trick - if during the time you played, the Live Map here on the site wasn't working, the back-up server was likely up.

PLEASE help by providing some information!!! I shall give you gigantic sugary pinecones of superness if you do :DDD

Otherwise...the back-up server won't be tested again. Because no one posted about any changes, because no one really knew about the topic to even know to post anything.

---

I wish I'd thought of this topic before the tests were done and over with; I'm just really hoping that some people here might remember anything to prove to Michael that JUST MAYBE, there WAS a big change.

Thank you if you can help at all ^^;

---

EDIT:

If you cannot recall any specific dates, could you try and describe any differences you experienced during the week, along with a comparison with your usual gameplay? Make sure that it's not just related to the amount of people playing...

Also, did you notice any back-and-forth effects during the week? Such as...one day, it was normal, the next, it was horrible/wonderful? Then maybe it changed later in the day? Or something as such.

Or...did you experience no changes whatsoever?

Try and be as specific as you can ^^;

... ..Holy

...Shocked

..Holy crap.

Er...*thinks*

Well, all I know is that for around a week or so I've had no problems in-game whatsoever - pictos spread in around two seconds, I have no lag...And spells dont take half a month to take effect...

Edit: :3

Usually, I have to wait around 5 minutes for the pictos to spread, and sometimes they don't spread at all. It doesn't matter how many players are in-game (though if there are around 30 it takes longer). I also have lag sometimes, which also depends on the weather in-game - particularly fog. Spells always take FOREVER to cast, and often glow triple-times if you know what I mean...XD ....Lately, there's been times where its suddenly OMGSOFASTANDNEWANDSHINY, but then it changes sometimes.....

...Heh.

All I can remember is the lag. Oh, the lag. Lag lag lag. D:

Much more than usual.

Unfortunately, I've noticed

Unfortunately, I've noticed from the few reports I've seen that a minority seem to...to.....TO...........foofles. I forgot the antonym of benefit. A minority seem to ANTI-BENEFIT.

I wonder why that is, though. Hmm.

I think whenever the backup

I think whenever the backup was on (I could tell by the live map ^^;) the speed was a bit faster, but I'm not sure anymore. Anyway my computer is a very fast one so probably I couldn't notice much difference. Wait... maybe it didn't lag much/at all with lots of deer...?
Loading time was faster than usual, I'm pretty sure of that. And the picto's spreading time, too.
*hopes that Micheal keeps testing... ;_;*

Basically for me there was improvement whenever the backup server was on. Smiling
