-In His Natural Habitat-
-Appearance-
As of now, Jeremiah is a tiny creature, no larger than the stump of a tree. His pelt is of a golden hue, laced with a subtle undercoat of clementine. He is a chubby sort, though in a fashion that renders him to be more defenseless than anything else. Upon his head is an ever flourishing wreath of bright crimson poppies, complementing the richness of his pelt. If one were to look closely, they might find two budding horns on the tip-top of his head, making way for stag hood. His hooves are of the darkest black, sharpened at the ends so much so that they are much like daggers. Along with their sharp points, they are also highly poisonous. If stabbed, the victim would have to endure hours of agonizing pain and a loss of stamina. Despite being very much biologically female; the fawn is, overall, quite masculine. His build is much like male, with stocky shoulders and a square set muzzle.
-Personality/Quirks-
*Easily frightened, though by all means not at all shy
*Tries his very hardest to be optimistic, yet often fails and sees the glass as half-empty
*Prefers being in a group rather than on his own
*Shows an immense amount of respect to his elders
*Quite graceful despite his weight
*Eager to please, though has a habit of not fulfilling the tasks others assign to him
*Very inquisitive. Often asks questions that may be deemed offensive to others. Speaks before he thinks
*Annoyed if you mention what his 'actual' gender is. May even attack out of spite depending on how the topic is brought up
*Very humble. Isn't fond of being complimented himself
*Not very bright. Was illiterate in his 'other' life due to a peasant status
*Fairly even-tempered. Will Primarily fight for defensive reasons, unless you talk about 'certain' subjects
*Will only sleep in beds of flowers (unless with a group)
*Does not always 'act' like a fawn. Very much an adult in a child's growing body
*Constantly insists that he is most certainly
not a deer, but a human, whatever he means by that...

Perhaps the twilight meant well, with its atmosphere and eternal sunset. Of course, it meant to provide a comforting, even romantic gesture. Couples of deer sat to and fro, lounging in tiny, remote areas that the fawn hadn't even known existed.
Then again, he (or was it she?) had only existed in the forest for less than two days. He had never seen the forest's day, let alone night, and the perpetuity of it all unnerved him. Of course, he tried to find solace in little groups of deer, but he was either ignored or sharply pushed away by jealous new couples. He didn't know what the 'rut' was, after all. He had not been an expert on any of the cervine species.
And so, rejected away by the older fawns and adults, the fawn took refuge in a modestly sized lilac patch all to himself. Rolled onto his back, he stared up at the ever darkening sky, his sharpened fore hooves resting gently against he protruding belly. He looked indifferent, even emotionless. A few times, the corners of his wide lips attempted to twitch into a smile, only to revert back to that same, stoic expression.
Really, he wished that there was at least one other deer or so around. Jeremiah hated being so alone, even if he had a flower bed all to himself. It was rather lonely, almost frighteningly so.
Sighing, the fawn rolled over and looked down at the crushed lilacs he had laid on. They were soon to be dying anyway, what with winter rolling around and all. Or were they? After all, this forest didn't quite act like an actual forest at times.
How very strange...
The fawn sighed, her silky
Seeming to share in her sadness, the poppy crown entangled around her ears began to wilt, drooping over her forehead and their petals falling, creating a crimson path behind her. She sighed, dipping her head to let the dying flowers float to the forest floor, biting her lip in frustration. They never seem to last, she thought to herself. Like all the deer in this forest, the fawn added bitterly.
Everyone she'd gone near that day had pushed her away, knocked her over with their antlers, stomped their hooves against the ground with such menace that the youngster had to run. The ones that had allowed her to sit with them had quietly slipped away after she'd fallen asleep, seeming to sigh with relief that she'd drifted off.
Catching sight of a nearby lilac patch, Hana trotted over. Her head felt bare, naked, without any flowers entwined in the golden patch of thick fur. As she neared, the rotund figure of a slightly chubby fawn on its back came into view. Not even attempting to fight her curiosity, the female crept closer.
Jeremiah had never been the
"Hn?" he whipped his head towards her, eyes widening as he neatly jumped to his hooves. A few stray petals from the crimson wreath upon his head flittered to the ground. Oh, another fawn. Well, that was alright then. Even if had only been two days, it hadn't taken Jeremiah long to figure out that fawns seemed to magnetize towards each other.
Needless to say, he wasn't good with children. Yes, children. Jeremiah had never had the pleasure of having younger siblings, so he didn't really know much about how to treat those younger than him. Despite his obvious age, the fawn very much thought of himself as an mature adult.
"Oh, ello'..." he forced a smiled, cocked his head to the side and offered her an oddly graceful bow. His was... bizarre, to say the least. It sounded like a deep, rich contralto, the sort of voice that could be classified as either male or female. He seemed to carry a light, tingling cockney accent. "Yoo lost? Or are yoo like all the other parentless kids out here?" he asked, regarding her with a steady smile.
Child or not, the fawn was company. Jeremiah hungered for conversation, practically fed off of it. Still, he'd treat the fawn like a fellow adult.
"Might as well enjoy the flowers while we can, right?" he bent down and lightly touched one with the tip of his muzzle, coating it in pollen. "They'll be gone soon... really sad..." he sighed, his floppy ears drooping on the sides of his head.

As the fawn leapt up, a small giggle escaped her throat; she lifted a hoof to silence herself, coughing delicately. Tilting her head to follow his movements, she spoke; "Hello." A bow, not as graceful as his, followed, along with a gentle nod of the head. "Lost?" She laughed, a soft, tinkling sound. "Oh, no." Another quick nod. "No parents here," the female replied, a hoof making trenches in the flower patch absentmindedly.
She watched the child with interest, watched how he pushed his nose into the flowers. "Yes," she muttered. To tell the truth, Hana had never really given flowers any value, not caring when they died or when she trampled them with her hooves; when she wrenched them from the dirt to entwine them in her fur. Instead of answering, she only nodded for the third time, staring at the crushed lilacs with slight disinterest.
A pause. Then; "And you?" Her left ear twitched. "Are you lost?" She smiled too, mimicing the fawn's actions when he'd asked the same question.
Quite alright cx We all have

He frowned slightly, only to feign a sad smile. "So many parentless kids here..." he murmured, the homesickness practically bleeding through his voice.
That seemed to be a running theme in this place. No one had parents, at least the masses didn't. You had to earn your family, through friends and all that. It was pretty barbaric, to Jeremiah at least. He had always been a person who valued his own kin even more so than his friends. Then again, he was still wondering if this whole predicament was just a really long dream...
He shot a distastful glare down to her hooves, watching them maim petals and rip up stems. Still, he didn't say anything, preferring to use expressions rather than words. "M'Jeremiah... Jerry... wotever yoo like." he introduced. "And m'not lost. How can yoo get lost here? Ya run in a straight line for a good few minutes and ya end up in the same place as before... So weird..." he rambled, eager to talk without seeming insane for doing so by himself. Even if it was a fawn. After all, some of the fawns here seemed to be either really dumb or really advanced...
"Mm, yes." Hana's ears pinned
Running an eye over the child, her head cocked slightly to the side. He was ... strange, putting it politely. She paused for a moment on his sharpened forehooves, giving them a sideways glance before looking up once more.
Seeing the fawn's eyes dart to where she'd been digging at the flowers, Hana shifted, ears flattening further against her skull. "Hana," she replied, her voice taking on an unusually polite tone. "Pleasure to meet you ... Jerry." The female chuckled. "True. Though if that's the case, why did you ask me if I was lost, hmm?" Hana sniggered outwardly; her own 'wit' seemed to amuse her to no end, but she quickly plastered a warm smile onto her face, not wanting to offend her new acquaintance.

Raindrops; "Hana..." he let
"Hana..." he let the name run over his tongue. Simple and sweet. He liked it. As for the fawn herself... he wasn't sure. Jeremiah himself was a fairly even-tempered sort, if you kept on his good side. As sentimental as it was, the fawn hated it when both people needlessly severed the stems of flowers. It was foolish, yes, but it was just one of the few things that had ever managed to set him off.
"Nn. Nice to meet ya too then... Careful not to step on anymore of em', yeah?" he cautioned, though not unkindly. Maybe it just wasn't her fault. After all, she was a kid. Jeremiah didn't really know much about kids; they were just little versions of regular people (or... deer in this case). Maybe a little dumber... but that was natural, right?
The fawn raised an eyebrow at her, though bit his tongue as to not say anything stupid or offensive himself. He needed to make a good impression on this forest, and loudmouthing the fawns didn't seem like such a bright idea. Didn't they suffer from enough age discrimination? Jeremiah had learned first hand how many stags and does alike would just ignore fawns that were not their own kin. It was sickening, really...
"A forest is a forest." he finally answered, rolling back his bulky shoulders in an easy shrug. "I got lost in em' all the time as a kid. Yoo just have to learn that none of em' are endless, and this one ain't much of an exception."

Uzu; Aha, thank you~ ♥ Delt was quite the gentleman~
As for me CSS, I know little to nothing about it really :'D I got some template codes from this very helpful CSS blog from Mr. Sanguine and then I just tweaked them for my own purposes c:
She shot him another sideways
"Is that so?" Acting on impulse, Hana copied him, feeling the bones pop satisfactorily. "As a kid, eh?" Biting her lip, the fawn quickly scanned him again. He didn't seem as though he was much older than her, yet he spoke about himself like he was as old as some of the stags in this forest; she chose not to say anything, instead nodding slightly. "I've never thought this forest to be endless. More ..." Amber eyes raised to the sky as she pondered on the word. Eventually, she gave up, sighing loudly. "Big," the fawn muttered, lifting her hoof but then gently putting it down once more. A lone firefly drifted by her face and she turned, blowing it away in an irritated manner.
The fawn stiffened, the skin
"There's a difference between rippin' em' up and usin' em'... It's like destroying a crop of produce instead of takin' it to eat." he explained, his floppy ears firmly pressed on the back of his skull. "No, I didn't. But I sure a Hell didn't tear em' up like yoo were. Besides, they're not really for me... I give em' to other deer." he shrugged, taking a few deep breaths to drive off all the bad feelings. Keep positive... keep positive...
For once, he tried to smile. "Eeyup... I'd wander off lookin' for some buried treasure n' the like... sooner or later I'd go in too far and me Pa would have to come n' find me..." he murmured nostalgically, his eyes closing to mere slits.
"I don't even think it's big... maybe it is to a kid like yerself... ain't to me. It's just a medium or so sized circle." he waved a hoof in dismissal, the drops of venom upon it shaken off.
The fawn watched her blow away the firefly with indifference. Though needless to say, if it had been honey bee, he would have truly lashed out at her.
Woo! Thanks for the link!
