its kinda like how Spade got his pelt from Radeon... Skokey's mother had that pelt, so he got that pelt, and so Faytha got that pelt too, but she decided to hide it under another pelt... i decided that before he and Devi came along XD i had NO IDEA she would use that pelt too XDDD so yeah... aww Spade, ilu <333333

Oh, and random fact: Scape and Magnet were born to have the "default" set. =B But they've worn the same sets so long it's kinda "grown" on them you could say. But the gold pelt was also their aunt's (Radeon's sister), and was passed onto Kinsha, who covers up the "overly bright" pelt with the darker beluga one. XD

if you look in one of the earlier chapters in Hanging Flowers, Skokey mentions something about Siki telling him about pelt magic. he told him if you keep a pelt on long enough, itll become a sort of genetic trait that can be passed down to your kids.
