It is an oil painting since it had deer I posted. Trying to learn the basics of form, function and color. Eventually I want to move into graphic/digital art. I write for a living and wish illustrate my own books some time. I enjoy the art here and learn much. Thanks for the compliment.

It did that here for some reason. It is clear on my phone. Who Knows? I posted it on my Facebook page and it was fine. It is not the final version. I went back and the deer in the shadows I made his face broader and gave him antlers. The scenery did turn out well. So thank you for the compliment.
