"It'll never be done," He whispered, turning away again, almost infuriated by how well she was taking this. "I killed my own father, Cirrus...I tortured him, and then I killed him." He inhaled shakily. "You...you don't understand, I..."

Finally; it was getting through to her. "I was possessed, apparently," He murmered. "He...I don't know, Cirrus...We were..." He sat down on the end of the pier. "God, d-don't make me talk about it...Please..."

Lorak sighed mournfully. "If you...want to leave, I understand," He whispered. "If you don't...speak to me for...a long time, I..."

"That's understandable," Lorak whispered. "I...I wish I..."
Before he could think about what he was saying, he'd blurted it out - "I wish I was dead."
Then he froze.
He didn't want to die.
Was this him talking, or a spirit?

Lorak was then on his feet, staring at a silver-coloured orb-shaped spirit floating infront of him. Glowing red eyes stared at it for a long moment before his hand reached out and touched it, almost caressed it. "Something's wrong with me," He murmered quietly, tilting his head to the side while examining the orb before it drifted back into the water. He dropped his hand. "I..." A pause, a frown as he turned his head to look over his shoulder at Cirrus. "I don't want to die. I don't, I...I don't..." Lorak suddenly stared down at the water, the urge to dive in nearly overwhelming him. He shook his head with a groan. "No," He pleaded. "Not now..."
"Yes, now."
The black-haired man whirled around, only to see Rak standing a few feet from him on the pier. He was uncertain if Cirrus could see him.

Fear and horror gripped Lorak's tainted soul as he stared into the cruel green eyes of Rak Adrokus. Rak grinned.
"Does she know, son? Does she know what you are?" ((SCREWBLACK)) He sneered, then looked over at Cirrus and his sneer turned into a cold grin.
Lorak glanced at Cirrus. "Yes."
The corporeal spirit laughed darkly. "Interesting..."
And then he was suddenly beside the woman, his hands at her throat. Lorak roared furiously in protest, but it was too late.
Rak practically threw her off of the pier.

Rak laughed cruelly as Lorak darted towards him. The sandy-haired man practically flew towards Cirrus, grabbing her again and forcing her onto the sandy ground, sitting on her so that she could not get up. "Are you ready to die, Cirrus?" Rak sneered, looking back at Lorak briefly. "Or, is he willing to save you?" His expression became thoughtful.
Blood trickled from a thin slit across his neck.
"If it means facing this..." He gestured to the ocean. "Will he save you?"

Lorak was attempting to make his way down to the two, but it was tricky; there were tons of large rocks scattered around the place. "Rak, let her go!"

Fulu looked at him, her cold black eyes softening. "It'll be alright, don't worry..." She almost made a move to nuzzle him, but wasn't sure how he would react to it. Instead, she just moved a leg so that their knees were touching. "It would be best to stay away from her for a little while, give the both of you some time to think about what's happened."

Lorak gave a roar of frustration, but he tripped - and began to roll down the hill, crashing into various rocks then tumbling over them.
Rak laughed bitterly, picked Cirrus up, and ran with ease into the water. He swam far out, still holding Cirrus as tightly as he could. Being a spirit meant he was stronger than any living person, but he was still solid. He grinned at Cirrus. "Shall we see if he saves you?"
And he forced her under the water.

Cirrus squirmed, tears forming in her eyes. "LORAK...LORAAAAAK?!" Her cries grew more desparate the closer they reached the water. She struggled against Rak, but he was too strong for her, she began to pray that Lorak would come...

Corvus gave a whimper like sound out of aknowledgement and nodded slightly. He couldnt work out why he felt so comfortable with this doe he had only just met, she willingly listened to him, gave him advice, told him what was wrong and without complaint much like....a mother

Was this what it felt like? To be motherly? She hadn't felt it in such a long time... It felt refreshing to Fulu, doing this sort of thing for someone. Perhaps this stag didn't have a mother. Perhaps he never did. "Don't you have any friends that could help, too? Friends are a good thing to have at times like these..." She did hope she wasn't the only one giving him comfort.

Lorak opened his crimson eyes, ignoring the brief sting the water brought to them, his limbs furiously pounding their way through the liquid. Underneath the water, he could hear the whale-like callings even more loudly than before. He realised Rak was gone.
Hold on, Cirrus, hold on, hold on!
She was under the water, and he had no idea if she was alive or not.
His arms eventually found her, and he kicked up to the surface, dragged down by the weight of his clothes, but finding the surface after a few seconds. He pulled Cirrus to the shore, choking up water himself before shaking her gently, cradling her in his arms. "Cirrus? Cirrus!?"

He exhaled in relief, thumping her on the back to clear her lungs of any water she'd inhaled. His arms wrapped tightly around her, holding her to his chest as though she would fade away any moment. "Cirrus, Cirrus..." He breathed, stroking her wet hair away from her face. "God, I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have let this happen, I...Are you allright?"

"I put you in danger," He whispered. "I asked you to come here when I knew it wasn't safe, when I knew it can never be safe around me..." He sighed and swept her up in his arms, carrying her quite easily back up the rocky hill to the pier, always being careful not to slip. He set her on her feet carefully, with one arm around her waist incase she fainted or passed out. "Would you like me to take you home...?" Red eyes gazed worriedly down at her.

Lorak sighed, walking to the car slowly, carefully so that Cirrus wouldn't fall. He assumed that she had not locked the doors and attempted to open the passenger door. He succeeded and helped her to sit down, fastening the seatbelt for her - almost as though he was afraid she would break in two if she moved. "Fortunately, I can drive," He muttered quietly, closing the passenger door then walking around to the driver's side and getting in, starting the car up.

A while later, he pulled up outside Draak and Cirrus' house, looking to Cirrus. "Well, here we are..." He sighed, getting out of the car and waiting for Cirrus to get out before turning the engine off and handing Cirrus the keys.

Lorak frowned at her in bewilderment; why, why did she still want to be around him? He was dangerous, couldn't she see...? But he sighed. "If you want me to," His voice was softer than usual. "And only if you want me too."

Lorak sighed slightly, then nodded. "Allright, allright." He agreed, starting to walk towards the house, trying not to shiver too much.

Lorak closed the door behind him as he walked in, following Cirrus to the fireplace, hugging himself in an effort to stay warm. The heat of the fire, however, was torture to him; unlike most people, Lorak preferred to be cold rather than too warm.
"Are you sure you're allright?"

Lorak glanced to one side, where a mirror hung on the wall. He looked away quickly. "I'm...fine," He sighed, shivering again. "My eyes are only like this...temporarily. I think."

"I'm sure," He paused, then spoke again in a bitter tone. "There's always the chance my dead dad might come and drown you again," He spat, turning away.
The anger was aimed at himself.

His red-eyed gaze did not meet hers. "What if one day I'm not there, then?" He questioned, arms folded.

"But he's still unpredictable," Lorak reasoned, his gaze finally meeting Cirrus' - fire into water, as always, but this fire was darker. "He could...he could..." He trailed off.

He growled in frustration; now he'd have to worry about her constantly. "God, Cirrus, if he hurts you while I'm not there..."

"...I...Don't know," Lorak blinked, turning to look at her. It was true; in all his years of living, he had never really considered the option that one day, the people he cared about would be in danger from supernatural beings.

He sat cross-legged on the floor, now dry enough to do so without soaking the carpet. "Rak would..." He paused. "If he...ever "sees" my mother...I...Don't know what would happen..."
Rak was unpredictable, as Lorak had said.
