But nope, I don't reference xD I go by memory, or what seems like it makes sense.. very mild things (such as the direction of the fur in some places like at the throat) I've picked up from other artists over the years and adopted into my own style.

Since a lot of the people who post on my stuff seem to quite like my style, I'll give you a little tidbit;
My style for deer was transitioned over from my drawings of horses, ones I've done for years. The style for THEM was heavily inspired by DreamWorks' Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. It's a very good movie for those who haven't seen it, no matter the age. The animation and music in itself is wonderful.

I will check the movie out, and if you have some good artists/anims ref to give me, don't hesitate, It'd be upper appreciated.

Actually, I got a major "artist" block that had been going on for some time, but have recently felt really motived to get back at it because of tef, and the incredible art I saw and see posted everyday ( like the pics you posted today) on this community.

And, well, since I never really attempted to draw animals, I guess some ref couldn't hurt!

AH, thank you guys, you're always so encouraging and supportive~

And personally Nayu I find that movie SO inspiring.. it's so.. heartfelt, the soundtrack is incredible, especially the instrumentals. I still get goosebumps just listening to the music, it's exceptional. I still love that movie to this day.. and I'm nearly twenty. ;A; Gah. Now I wanna watch it again..
