Firstly, I draw the base in Game Maker, because I can easily switch between pictures in that.
Then I save the finished animation as a png.-file.

Secondly, I use photoshop to separate the pictures, (that can be done in MS paint as well, it just takes a bit more time) saving them as small pictures in and of themselves.

Lastly, I use Beneton Movie Gif to put them all together again, now as a gif-file so I can use it online.

It's a bit bothersome and it takes time. LOTS of time, but it's good practice and the only thing I can really do when I can't buy a proper animation-program TwT;;
