And so the end has come.

Kita made her way slowly through the forest. The warm sun lit up between the trees, the sounds of spring all around her. Fawns braying, birds twittering through the trees and the rustle of newly formed leaves.

She paused once to look back to her own son Alston as he pranced along through the flowers behind her. Now over a month old he was growing fast, more than able to support himself though he was still quite immature at times.

She shook her head with a soft chuckle and looked ahead, continuing on her way.

On these long walks she often would think back on her life, remembering the good and the bad times. The friends she had made. The loves she had and lost.

She remembered meeting Virgil, the kind stag who helped to pull her out of the shy isolation she had made for herself. She looked to him much like an older brother, and quickly began to gain confidence to play with other deer.

She remembered meeting Baal. This stag, while frightening, always seemed to be willing to put up with her silly childish play and would often go fo runs with her in the forest. She sighed heavily and shook he head, she still missed Baal, and had hoped to see him one more time.

She remembered Howl and Reed, the two stags she made friends with, just to have the two fight one another. She wondered whatever happened to them. It had been so long since she had heard from either deer, but she did hope that they were well wherever they were.

A warm sadness filled her as she thought of Fran. The doe she loved and kept close to her heart. She had not seen her in so long she wondered if Fran had gotten herself killed. They always got into such trouble together, but it was some of the best times she could have had. She had fought to protect Fran, but she had no hope of seeing her now. She could only hope that whereve Fran had gone, she was healthy and happy.

She remembered Furfur, Seshi when alive. The ghost was always so much fun to play with and she had loved him dearly. She would have been willing to spend her life with him, but something happened to the stag. What it was she knew not, but he told her he no longer loved her and then a short time later had vanished from the forest. She pray that he had gone somewhere nice.

She remembered Myu, the small fawn she had basically adopted as her own little sister. How the small creature had tried to protect her from the deer she had not known laying in the sunlight. She wondered how she was, she had not seen her in so long.

She also remembered Luis, Myu's mate for some time. She had heard that he had left the forest for the other world.

She remembered Hagan, the stag she really enjoyed spending time with. He had suddenly left the forest one day however, and while she had seen him a couple of times after that, she did not know what happened to her friend.

She frowned slowly as she sadly remembered Zevi. She could still visualize the blue pelted stag who wore the ventian antlers upon his head. He was always up for silly games of air sitting and tree mimic. She missed him greatly and hoped he was safe.

She remembered Rakkaus, a stag always up for great fun. She missed him and his crazy antics greatly, but had not seen him in a long time.

She also remembered kind Amary, the doe who was always willing to spend some time sitting with Kita when she felt down.

She remembered Joro, the great white doe who was always willing to come to her aid when needed. She had seen her quite often in the forest, and would always try to say hello when she could. She would miss this kind doe.

She could remember Grey, the ancient stag with the broken antler. She would always seek him out and just enjoy slowly walking with him through the trees, keeping the old one company as long as he was around. She wondered if he had passed on, she hoped he was happy.

She remembered Steele, the great stag whom she always enjoyed trying to peacock, despite his constant dislike of this. She couldn't help but try however.

She remembered Atvana, the great knowing being who would spend time speaking with her, advising her or merely keeping her company. She had not seen it for quite some time, however she knew it was likely to be keeping someone who needed it more company.

She missed greatly Nightshade and her mate Asaroth. The two were always willing to spend time with her, despite the arguments that often broke out. They were always such great fun.

She remembered Tails, the loving playful stag who was always up for a romp through the forest or a simple time of laying under the sunlight near the pond and speaking of times gone by.

She smiled lightly as she remembered Cut and Rip. The two stags were always willing to spend time with her, though Cut was always sometimes reluctant for the company. She remembered times of comforting Rip, and great games they had played among the trees.

She looked back toward Alston as she thought on Emmy and Yurei who agreed that should something happen, or if Alston needed someone. They would take him in as their own and help to raise the fawn.

Kita was glad that she had found someone to take care and protect over him. Her eyes flickering tiredly as she moved forward through the trees, heading past the ruins of the cathedral and the graveyard surrounding it.

Finally she remembered Boris. The large grey stag with the strong accent she had fallen so strongly in love with. Her mate and her heart. She had not seen him in so long, she wondered if he had truely gone back to where he had come. He was always such a lazy deer, content to lay for hours in the sun. She never minded, she loved to cuddle herself into the warm furry body and spend the time speaking with him, or simply enjoying the company. She would miss him so much and she hoped to the Gods that he knew how much she loved him.

With a slight shake of her head, she cautiously picked her way up over the hill and to the flower patch tha was encircled by a ring of sunshine. With a relieved sigh she lay herself down into the soft brush. She looked to Alston as he moved over towad her, nuzzling her fawn gently. She lay her head down onto the earth before her as he lay at her side, eyes slowly closing.

She whispered to Alston a final soft "I love you, my dear one." before quietly slipping away into the void.

Alston looked toward Kita and nudged her slightly, frowning slowly as she did not respond. He tilted his head as he remembered what his mother had once told him when he was but a mere fawn,

"The Gods put all deer into the forest to be able to learn how to love and cherish one another."

Alston stare at the dead form of his mother, smiling lightly to himself and flicked his tail slightly "The Gods put everyone into the forest to be able to learn how to love. But you were born knowing how to do it mommy. Maybe that's why you didn't have to stay as long."

He licked her cheek once softly before laying his head beside her, crying silently to himself.

And so with actual tears in my eyes as I write this, I bid a sad farewell to my most loved deer, Kita. I apologize for any spelling errors. It's hard to see with tears in your eyes <3

@AliceV and Snowsauia: I

@AliceV and Snowsauia: I wanted to make sure that if anyone she knew looked at this that they would know she really did love and care for them, even after they were long gone from the forest

<3 I think it was the only way she could have gone. She was always too loving and peaceful to go anyway else except in her favourite place with her son near her

I wish I had had enough time to write out all of her aquantances too (think I spelled that wrong) cause Crybaby would definitely be in there ^^; she just had way too many friends

Oh man, this entire story was

Oh man, this entire story was a huge nostalgia trip. All those names, most not even seen nowadays. And I remember that day with Myu, haha.

I'm so sad to see Kita go, but I'm glad that she lived well. And I'm glad I got to know her so well beforehand. Rest in peace, Kita. <3

This was just lovely, and I'm honoured that Tails was even a small part of Kita's life. You told her story beautifully, a fitting conclusion to life so wonderful.

I am happy that Kita is at peace.

@Lung: I know what you mean

@Lung: I know what you mean <3 I had to actually stop a couple of times to remember names. I could see the deer but couldn't think of names. Drove me crazy, but I was glad to see after I wrote it down that, despite most of her friends poofing, she had a good life overall

@Trigger: <3 Tails was a huge part of Kita's life toward the end. I will miss her, but it was time for her to move on. I barely play anymore and felt guilty about her rotting away. At least now her story has been completed.

Jeez, I even knew it was

Jeez, I even knew it was coming and here I am blubbering like a little baby.

Whoops crying. Came up when I searched my Atty and realized I'd never seen this. I'm a little sad; I always liked her.

Glad she went like this though.
