All of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I watched all of these skull-faces here harass another deer for over ten minutes, casting spells on him and "attacking" him. All of them. He kept shaking his head and standing there, not reacting, sometimes jumping around as if trying to play. They even chased him when he tried to leave.

This sort of gang-attacking behavior is immature and obnoxious. Not everyone knows you are "role playing" and you could be driving potential new members away. The forest is advertised as friendly and peaceful but all of these deer were acting anything but. If someone is annoying you in the forest you should simply ignore them, not harass them like this.

Absolutely disgusting.

ok lol

ok lol

From what you're describing,

From what you're describing, it sounds more like they were helping that deer get their set, and the deer was shaking it's head no to say "No, this isn't the one I want yet."

lol ok then this deer was

lol ok then
this deer was harassing them long before they started returning the favor, if you were really there you would have noticed that and not gone on some high and mighty rampage about them being immature and obnoxious
they danced on/around it
so what

didn't realize dancing with deer was so frowned upon, tho
thanks for that
i will never dance again ):

No, they were making 'attack'

No, they were making 'attack' and 'angry' emotes at it and they were all red so that the deer that was being targeted could not spell-spam them back.

Now they're going to come in here and try to defend their harassment, I can see. Sorry if someone in this community has a problem with you guys ganging up on random deer for no reason other than your character is ~too hardcore~ to be bothered.

Two wrongs don't make a right, if the deer was pestering you (which I did not see) you all should have been bigger people and ignored them.

Also, the deer in the

Also, the deer in the screencap is not the one that was harassed. The deer in question had a full real deer set on.

It's possible the "victim"

It's possible the "victim" was IC as well and also roleplaying. My Junalia doesn't like to be attacked, naturally. No one does. Yet us players are perfectly fine with it as long as it stays within a fun limit and it's more productive rather than hindering. So this "Victim" could have OOCly been alright with it, following along with it. From what I could tell, this is a family group of over-sized 3-month-old pups and their parents. I know they were around my fawn a bit earlier. Pups love to rough play. It's in their nature.

If the "Victim" wasn't you then don't worry about it. If they have an issue then it's up to them to contact the players in question. They don't need a hero to speak for them.

It's usually relatively easy

It's usually relatively easy to tell from behavior if a player is IC or OOC. If you're unsure it's good to check the map first. If you're still unsure, I think it's better to err on the side of caution and assume OOC. Not all players of TEF know about the community and don't know that there's a way to contact others. I'm not aware of the situation at hand. If someone's being bothered by a deer, ignoring them is usually a more effective way to get them to stop, whether they're a troll or just someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Unless it's IC and both parties are aware of what's going on, I don't think it's cool to mess with them in return. In most cases harassment comes from miscommunication and not everyone is as aware of their body language as people on the community are.

I think if the player has a problem, they'll report it here themselves. Although you're just defending them, they may not have had a problem and just seen it as playful. Smiling

Just coming along to point

Just coming along to point out a couple things(No real energy to dispute this and game play and morals.);

The deer appeared very IC up until around the point you happened upon the scene.
It's nice to have all the details, not merely going off an assumption.

Troll in the defense of the deer seemingly being troll'd
Troll trolling trolls.

And you should mind your own

And you should mind your own business. The person in question is known for harassing, attacking, and even spamming others. The group only started out protecting another member(IC), who was injured, then everything turned to OOC when we tried to get them to leave by spamming them with spells, and shoving them away (Shown by the lowering of antlers and rearing up). So quit going around making accusations about things that are clearly NONE of your business as well as posting a thread about it trying to make a clearly invalid point.
Have a good day.

Funny how we're ~oh so

Funny how we're ~oh so 'immature' and 'obnoxious'~ when your reaction was to 'troll the 'trolls'' in response. You decided to 'dance' on my characters face - repeatedly - even after we moved away and attempted to ignore you. Which is rude and disrespectful, considering I hadn't moved him once up until you forced me to.

That deer had been following us around for close to forty minutes, and you showed up near the end. You saw nothing, you know nothing. That deer has chased, harassed and attacked multiple characters and is known for being a straight up nuisance. It acts IC, so excuse us for responding in kind. When it switched to seemingly OOC actions, so did we.

Get your facts straight before playing the blame game.

( p.s. the red pelts were gathered while the group was ICly chasing another obviously IC character through the forest. had nothing to do with this deer. )

LOL wow you're an arrogant one, aren't you?
We don't need to defend ourselves to you, since those who were there know what really happened.

In the spirit of not having

In the spirit of not having any more drama, I think we can be done here. Smiling *eye twitches from all the drama lately*

The OP obviously is ignorant about how things work between the game and the community when we take IC and OOC behavior into account.

Walpurigsnacht,
Please refrain from this type of behavior in the future. It won't get you anywhere and will make you into the 'bad guy' that you were accusing others of being. I know you had pure intentions behind what you did, but you also need to understand that the people who are committing the behavior could have reasons beyond 'being mean' for doing so.
Again, thanks for the concern but it was unwarranted.

Yay!

-hugs all the puppies!!- Poor things getting bullied on, even if you're getting big and have defenses like your daddy does! haha! Glad that's over with. I had a feeling there was more to it, which is why I posted about the IC thing. -noms on puppy tails-
