Last Friday I logged on without realizing at first what day it was. We do not celebrate Halloween where I live. That day started off average at first.
Antlers met several new deer of the Forest. The first he ran into was a ghastly stag - white all over, with a skull for a head - and sat with them in a circle of mushrooms. Antlers' intent was to have some fun transforming the new friend into a random small critter. This intent was mutual. First Antlers turned the new friend into a crow, then he was turned into a dove.
Soon, another deer approached, this one light brown, with white spots that had brown rings. This one also had a skull for a head, and candles on its antlers. A very dashing look!
Not long after, even more deer joined, forming a small group. A dance party began, then we all rested in a mushroom circle by the cemetery. Antlers turned someone into a squirrel. Deer came and went, whilst Antlers was turned into a squirrel himself, then a bunny, while I was away from my laptop.
I returned to my laptop to the bellows of deer from afar. Antlers wondered what was going on and following the noise, he found a whole herd following who he was also looking for: The Big Zombie Deer. Courtesy of p, I knew I might see the BZD in these days, and was happy to not only meet the legendary beast but to parttake in a party it threw for the benefit of the impromptu herd gathered around it. After the dancing, the BZD laid down and so did the herd. Antlers gathered himself and after casting spells at the BZD, received the looks he desired. I left for some time again after that and by the time I returned, the BZD was gone - and Antlers was smaller, and looked nothing like he did before. Frantically de-casting spells put onto him, he missed the transformation spell that shrunk him and in the process, accidentally de-BZD'd himself. Not only that, but his original look was lost too. Saddened, he wandered the Forest and luckily, he bumped into a new, helpful deer who gave him back some of semblance of himself.
