Your theory on Pictograms?

What is your theory of Pictos and what they mean?

In my mind, I've created a huge thing about how Dragons, Phoenixes, and Gryphons are the ancestors of all things, but I'm not going to get into all the details, not yet because I really can't find a good way to explain it all.

All that I will explain for now is that all animals have their own language. The picto symbols are from a language that the deer speak, and the language is based on the language that the dragons once spoke, as deer and all other mammals (except for primates) descended from the dragons, and therefore speak languages that are similar to their language.

I can't explain real well...

Anyways, what do you think?

I like to think of them as representations of images and that these images could be translated into these almost Native American style names. The one I chose for my deer makes me think of rain and leaves so by that logic her picto could mean "Rain Falling through the Leaves" or something similar. I've been calling her Eamaya though.

I agree with feint
for example my orinoco's symbol looks like a stork and she is a very loving and natural mother type. Vesas has a bumble bee like picto and he is a hard worker. etc

I don't ever think of the pictos! I mean, I know they're important in the forest because of identification. But in roleplay? I don't even think about them. Nor mention them or give them a real role. For me I think they're something that only matters Out Of Character, so I know which deer is which. Not because they're important.

Maybe when I develop my characters more this will change? But for now, I don't pay them any attention.
