Cay was on her way, she was strutting happily towards the playground. When she arrived, she was shocked over how pretty it was...

"H-hi" she said and bowed politely "I'm Cay Lynn... As you probably know..." she looked in his eyes.

(xD, sorry for the late reply, I was away from home)

"Hm... Looks.. Nice" she nodded and blinked slowly and sat down where he mentioned.

Mushrooms? Why does he talk about mushrooms? "No... I don't eat mushrooms."

"You don't want to know" she giggled

"Hm... I really like the ruins, but I love being at the bridge at night too, when there are candles and all that stuff..." she smiled. "What about you then?"

Quad nods happily. Finally a topic he feels more comfortable with.

"I kind of like everywhere...I mean, the old Ruins were my first favorite place, but I love looking over the Bridge at the lily pads, the Pond of course I love because the water is always cool and sweet...", he takes a sip of the pond water he brought, "The Old Oak is always nice to sit in and zone out. The Playground here is a fun place, I've had some of the best dance parties here. Twin Gods' Hill is always nice, although sometimes I don't like getting devouted, if you know what I mean.", he winks here.

"And then there's the Crying Idol, which was always Maz...", he began to say his previous mate's name, and stopped, realizing not only it was rude of him to talk about her during a date, but that he really, really missed her.

"Err...I like the Crying Idol too.", he corrected and coughed.

Damn, she heard me say her name., Quad thought. He let out a slight sigh and then said, "Mazey, my previous mate. The Crying Idol was her favorite place in the Forest so we hung out there all the time."

Quad shuddered a little. He had to ask the next question, "I'm sorry, I hope this date isn't too boring. I just don't know what else to talk about. Is there anything you'd like to do this afternoon? I've heard the Playground rocks are some of the best to sit and watch the sunset."

"Cool, it should be getting close to the perfect time to sit up there anyway. You know the candles light by themselves in the afternoon too, it's always fun to watch.", Quad said happily. He stood here, ready to walk with her to the boulders.

Quad climbed up onto the boulder, but then tilted his head, "...robots?", he questioned.

He looked at one of the little candles below him. Was it genuinely staring back at him...mocking him? He tilted his head again.

Quad shook his head. "I thought a friend of mine told be something about a roybot, like it was on his arms or something. I can't really remember.", he replied. He remembered Chris Daté*, who was a cyborg with robotic limbs, but he didn't really understand the purpose of robotics. It was a strange idea to him.


* (Chris Daté, also known as QuadRaptor, is another character of mine from an old first-person shooter community I was a part of before I came to TEF. His limbs were cut off by aliens, and when he was rescued he was given cybernetic limbs as replacements. He and Quad have met before)

Quad nearly forgot about the sunset, his mind was too busy contemplating the candles. He double-taked when he saw the sunlight fading.

"You're probably right. The gods know their forest magic, no doubt about that. Ah well, I'll either miss the candles lighting on their own or miss the sunset, what a shame...", he began to say, but then got the smart idea to lay down and watch both at the same time - a candle before his face with the sunset in the distance.

"Such a pretty sight...we're really lucky to see such wonders.", he said.

As the sun was barely covered by the treetops of the Forest, the candles burst into flame. It startled Quad just slightly, he wasn't expecting it, and he let out a slight fart. Embarrassed, he apologized (and was lucky there wasn't a candle behind him, which could have started a Forest fire).

The night had come, and the candlelight surrounding them gave a beautiful radiance to the Playground. He smiled, seeing Cay Lynn in the glow.

"I hope this date was okay. I had a lot of fun.", he said, nodding his head.

The fat deer smiled happily. This worked out well..., he thought to himself.

He offered a nuzzle to her...

After the nuzzle, Quad bows to her, "Thank you, it was a pleasure."

As he speaks the words, a shooting star streaked across the sky, bursting into a brilliant green glow. It illuminated the land around them in green for a brief moment before vanishing.

Quad looked up to the sky at this point, distracted by the wonder.

(OOC: At this point, I don't know what Cay would do, if she's the kind of 'disappear while he's distracted' person or if she'd watch her walk off, but I figure the date has been concluded. However you'd like to finish is fine with me )

Quad looked over to ask if she saw the shooting star, but he saw her running off in the distance.

He smiled once again, and turning, he walked off toward the Ruins to sleep in his bed. He felt very productive tonight, and would have pleasant dreams.

"The first date is done, I've still got three more before I decide who to ask to be my mate. I hope the others go as well as this afternoon did.", he spoke to himself on the way there.
