Trouble uploading a new profile pic

ickydog's picture
Alrighty. I know I'm probably doing something wrong that is VERY simple, but I can't upload a new profile pic. I've deleted the old one (several times) and have tried uploading the new one. I resized it so that it's 98X100 pixels and 5.2KB so it is under the size limitations.

Any suggestions? This is frustrating me to no end!!!

Thank you!

Now I'm confused - which pic

Now I'm confused - which pic can you see as my profile? Is it the TEF screen shot? Or Kobal? It should be Kobal. If I'm logged in on my PC it shows Kobal - if I'm logged in on my Mac (my primary computer) it's the TEF screenie. WTF??

It showed the screenshot

It showed the screenshot until I refreshed the page. Now it shows the new one.
What I've found works is after I upload a new avatar, I go to my user page and reload it.

I've reloaded it 3 times. On my Mac it still shows the screenshot. On my PC it shows the new one (Kobal). This is weird . . .

Ctrl + F5. But you said Mac,

Ctrl + F5. But you said Mac, so it's not Ctrl and instead it's that Apple key, right? Been awhile since I've used a Mac. |D

Yeah, nothing works. Like I

Yeah, nothing works. Like I said, if I log in on my PC, the new image is there - and it would appear that y'all are seeing the new pic. I just can't on my Mac. Which is dumb. I son't see how it's different. I've tried every different way known to man to try and make it so that I can view it, to no avail.
The "command F5" on the Mac brings up the "voice over" function, whatever the hell that is.

I'm new to Macs - only had it 3 months.

Some people get that problem

Some people get that problem sadly. If you know how to clear your cache, that might help. Otherwise, for some it seems to change in a few days. I'm not sure what else to do.
