⋄ Instinct driven: Reaction to a situation relies heavily on the time of year, body language of other deer, and antler size of other stags.

⋄ He will often herd does together in an attempt to keep them in a group so that they are easier to manage. Small antlered males may be allowed near, or may be herded as well. However, males with large antlers will most likely be challenged and warded off.

⋄ He will not involve himself in random brawls that he witnesses, even if close relations are involved. This is especially so for quarrels between does; he will not get between them, and will instead allow them to sort out their hierarchy. However, if one doe seems to be causing a great amount of harm to the other, he will attempt to break it up.

⋄ Ehrune has a rough way of displaying affection in most cases. To does that are larger, and more able to stand up to it, he will firmly rub his head against their sides. To does that are smaller, more fragile, or fawns, he is much more gentle.

⋄ Although he can not maintain high activity due to his high body mass, he will join in on games or play time initiated by those in his current harem in order to keep everyone happy.

⋄ Those who are injured take priority, and he will frequently make visits to check on them. At this time, despite the time of year, he will show an almost dangerous protectiveness.

⋄ If there is an individual or group that he believes is a threat to his harem, he will charge or mock charge in an attempt to scare it off.

⋄ He will rub against does who have caught his particular interest.

⋄ During most of the year, he will generally not flirt/rub on does who smell of other males and understands that that particular doe has been claimed. However, if a doe intrigues him enough, he may be reluctant to let her go.

⋄ Although the behavior becomes more frequent during the rut, Ehrune will scrape his antlers against numerous trees and saplings.

⋄ Like small fawns, he finds small animals endearing. However, larger animals tend to unsettle him.

⋄ Plays favorites. If his harem splits up, he is more inclined to follow whatever doe he is the most attached to, or intrigues him the most.

⋄ Although he will look out for fawns that become a part of his harem, he will not babysit them should something else catch his interest. His philosophy stands as, "Does care for the young, stags look out for the herd."

⋄ Has been known to herd bucks as if they were does.

⋄ He does not hold past transgressions against those accused. He is quick to forget if he has been wronged, and instead lives in the present.

⋄ He does not have a fear of predators, due to his size, and instead prefers to see if they are of a civil enough mind to be won over. He would rather not have predators after him, nor those in his harems.

⋄ It is believed that he will never find a single doe that will forever hold his attention.

⋄ Dominant in nature, he will not react kindly to any male who he perceives as a threat to his position. Behavior such as scent marking, circling, excessive staring, or stepping between himself and whatever doe(s) that may be in his company will cause him to try and reassert himself over a male character.
