Sir Silence, you do not know me, but I have heard of you. My name is Oisín. I had wanted to speak with you, but the topic I originally wanted to speak of was driven from my mind upon reading this.
I know Sir Walter, and if your words are true, I have to say I am a bit surprised. Perhaps not entirely, however, as I have seen him fight another, and therefore know he is capable of violence. But, while I don't know him very well, he is important to me, and I would call him a friend if I knew him better. When I first met him, I was but a fawn, and he protected me from a deer that, for no reason I could fathom, had lowered his antlers at me. He continued to protect me as I stuck by his side that day. Ever since then, I have felt a kind of bond with him, although I have not seen him much since.
I suppose I am telling you this because I feel the need to defend Sir Walter. I am sure he had his reasons for attacking others. Although, that is not to say I condone his actions in any way. Violence is a horrible thing that I can only wish did not exist. But I know he can also be kind. I cannot change how you feel about him, but I hope you will not act out against him. It saddens me to think that others have been chasing him, if this is indeed true. Perhaps if they only left him alone, he could be more calm. It makes no sense to use violence to stop violence.
I don't think mushrooms are the answer, as using them in such a way does more harm than good.
I do not have the power to change anyone's will, but I hope you will at least consider my words.
