Not sure if I'm a fan of this idea or not, simply because it seems to imply 'claiming' and therefore no one else has the right to use said title for their character.

This might be more practical for the characters actual name, since two characters with the same name can cause a lot of confusion sometimes. But I don't think listing titles is necessary? Especially since quite a few characters already share or have similar titles already...idk. I just don't see the point in this sob

Its not meant for claiming, but simply to help people if they want to see if anyone shares a name and/or title. Instead of using the TEFc search function (which is slow and sometimes doesnt even show everything). This is a just in case you want to try to not have a similar name or title. That's all

I've definitely gotta agree

I've definitely gotta agree with Lost on this, we really don't want to start a claiming war on titles OR names. That kind of over complicates things too, expecting even new players to fish through 100+ characters to make sure they aren't accidentally using a similar title or name or something.

Like just let people use whatever titles/names they want, regardless of if other characters have them? It doesn't matter that much, does it.

Like I said it's not meant for claiming. It's just a database for people to see without having to fish through bios.

It can also provide ideas for other peoples characters too.
