Obesity [Rhys/..?]

Weeks ago they had met in the forest by chance and he had questioned him of it then.
The larger stag had bore down on the carefree figure picking the flowers from the stream and asked that question. It was a frivolous vain question, but even Rhys could not deny that he took pride in his appearance. There was just one aspect that had bothered him for some time.

Rhys lazily trotted to the edge of the stream and looked down into the waters at the child. His outer coverings were rolled up to expose bare pale flesh and he was collecting flowers with those strange digits. Occasionally he would brush the short hair out of his eyes before bending up and extending the flowers towards the larger stag.
"Greetings. Would you like some poppies?"

Rhys inclined his head to take the flowers in his antlers and laid down silently.

"You look troubled."

"Why am I fat?"

The smaller being considered this for some time with a confused look. It was not often that he was questioned as to why he did things. He sat down on the bank and laid back for a few moments before carefully choosing his words.

"You know...in some cultures a wide girth is a sign of wisdom and prosperity."

Rhys had accepted this at the time and left him to continue exploring the forest and attempting to crawl his way onto the idol.

Yet now as he watched the shell of the being's former self shambling about he could not resist posing the question again. He hesitantly approached the mad being and watched as it pulled the crumbling foundation of the ruins apart. It's digits were bleeding quite profusely yet he kept that determined look. Did he lose his maturity? What was this being that ran about in his stead? He was not always like this.

Rhys stopped a few feet away and eyed him.

"Why am I fat?"

"Because I was tired of seeing anorexic little deer prancing about in the forest."

"So I am obese...?"

"You are not obese. You are average. You think that skinny little frame could even hold their organs? Disgusting. You'll never be properly illustrated unless I say you are overweight. Then you might be depicted at a healthy size."

Rhys frowned and turned away. So which was the truth? Was he merely large to compensate for better depiction, or was he large to show wisdom and prosperity?

Probably a combination of the two.

So, what I've gathered: ..?

So, what I've gathered:

..? is human, at least sometimes.

It takes pleasure in causing others dismay in all, or many, fashions.

"Yet now as he watched the shell of the being's former self shambling about he could not resist posing the question again." This being was once another, more healthy character.

You make references to this being being yourself, perhaps only the mad aspects though. It seems as if you are venting your recent issues, or possible recent issues, into this character.

It takes on aspects of several of your other characters, in ways, and thus that reinforces the self hypothesis, since all of your characters are derived from you as well.

So, is this your mad reflection? c:

Pardon if I spoil anything, or am incorrect. ;D
