Previously; Witnessed the death of her son, unpredictable and needy. Seeking comfort and company.

Miyako (Mee-yah-koo) | Identity | 21.12.2013 | In her prime | Female | Wild white-tailed deer | Northern Brazil | Home

» Innocent being at birth. Grew as a naive and easily lead on adolescent leading her into countless of troubles and heartache. Traumatized as she was a victim of an assault. Her former lover took abused her both mentally and physically until the point of no return. In addition the breaking of her second family, her foster family caused her more mental trauma by disowning her at a very delicate time of her life. Being unlucky with partners she has intimacy issues and a great fear towards the male gender.

» Loves unconditionally, cares passionately. Hates brutally. She still shows submission towards many, but has shaken off the naive nature she once held. Suspicious when first meeting someone, unlikely to trust or forgive easily.

» Has taken collecting and crafting to heart as if she was to continue the legacy of her former guardian and partner. Has yet to practice crafting hoping one day she could create something magnificent.

Kenai First born biological son. Could not be there for him when he was born as she was taken from the world as we know it, was given the gift of returning when her son was already a teenager. They had hard time building their relationship and never truly managed to get close. With all the highs and lows with the boy she was incredibly proud of him and loved him to no end. Deceassed on 4th of December 2016.

Mortis Auctor Viewed as a Father and a Mentor. Deep rooted mutual connection she still feels after years of being separated. Longs for his calm presence more than anything, often seeks guidance from him even though he isn't around. Loading...
Djinn Adoptive Mother. When she was a newborn she received the greatest of care and protection from the hind, growing deeply attached to her, growing to respect and admire her. Relationship fell apart when she was disowned by the hind and her mate at the time. Miyako left burning bridges hoping to never see her face again. As time went by found herself longing for her mother's guidance and care, started mending things with her. Their bond is still in repair, mending. Loading..
Morikiah Former adoptive Father, a relationship she never managed to mend after breaking ties with him. When she was disowned by the orange male she felt great hatred and disgust towards the male, only recently understanding the male's reasoning behind his actions. Hoping to mend things with him, however cannot find the courage to track him down after so long.

Thane Her guardian, her former lover, her dream in a nightmare. Her very first infatuation, love and the reason for many of her mental issues to this day. She was physically, emotionally and mentally abused by the Craftsman and yet she found herself returning to his side time after time. The Craftsman is the very reason why she was disowned by her surrogate family as she would not let him go even when her family pledged her to. There are days when she regrets ever getting to know the male and days when she would give anything to return to him. Stockholm syndrome. Ptsd.
Nikodim Her beast, her guardian, hers. He was her first friend and first to look after her after her arrival. Cherished the beast highly, loved even. Would have done anything to gain his full attention and affections. A forbidden fruit. Greatly missed.
Neiro Father of Kenai. What started off as a friendship between a beast and a fawn turned into something deeper, on her behalf at least. Grew fond of him, loved him and believed he felt the same for her. Got pregnant with his child and not long after received the news of him and another female being an item. Bitter towards, yet misses.
Beren Best friend. A relationship she has always valued highly. At one time harbored feelings for the wolf, keeping them to herself mostly as she did not wish to disturb the dynamics of the wolf's family.
Umay Considered a friend after being rejected by the lion mother, grateful for everything she has done for. The Blue eyes would no longer breathe and walk the earth if it wasn't for her. There are no words to describe the gratitude she feels for her.
Leviathann Another strong female she looks up to, admires and is forever grateful to. Distantly respects her as she doesn't dare to approach her after all this time.
Khard Lost friendship. Once rather close with the beast, but never dared to let him as close as he would have wanted to be. Breaking the beast's heart she parted ways with him, hoping to mend things with her beast. Missed.
Maelstrom Feared. Disgusted by. Heavily disliked. His target and victim. Was nearly killed by him.

The wolf remains watchful

The wolf remains watchful while the doe sleeps. The need to do something suddenly hits him. He begins shaking his head from side to side, and three small poppies fall down from his antlers. He picks them up and gently decorates the doe's head with them, a faint smile tugs at the corners of his lips. Then the wolf takes a deep, relaxed sigh and gently rests his head upon the doe's back.

The young doe's ears twitch as he places the flowers to her head. She opened her eyes so that she would be able to see a bit, to him it might have looked like she was still very much asleep. The scent of the flowers lingered in her nostrils making the fur on her back stand up. They smelled so wonderful. "Thank you, Beren. They are gorgeous." The tone of her voice was soft and gentle as she whispers and rubs her forehead against his neck letting him rest his head on her back.

Very nice to meet you and

Very nice to meet you and Miyako.

"Hello there. It's a wonderful and warm day, isn't it. Mind if I join you?"

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

Nice to meet you two, too.

Nice to meet you two, too. (:

"Hello, miss." A nod followed her words. "Yes it is. It feels so nice after the long and cold winter. Please, sit down." Her voice was friendly and calm, it was nice to have some company.
BrownLupine's picture

The antlered doe sat down and

The antlered doe sat down and made herself comfortable.
"Thanks. Nice to meet you. I believe we haven't met yet? Or only for a short time?
She smiled calmly and introduced herself by lowering her head a little. "I am Trees."

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

The young doe laid down, too,

The young doe laid down, too, and tugged her front legs underneath her. "Hmm." A slight frown appeared upon her soft features as she pondered whether or not they had met. The doe next to her looked familiar in a way. "Maybe we have bumped into each other once in the past. It's good to finally got to meet you in no rush." She let out a brief chuckle. "Such a beautiful name you have. I am Miyako, by the way." The smile remained on her features.
BrownLupine's picture

A laugh escaped Trees'

A laugh escaped Trees' throat. " Nice to meet you, too. Well, I can return the compliment about the name, though yours sounds much more harmonic." Her ears turned into her companions direction. "Does it have a special meaning?"

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

"Why thank you." Her cheeks

"Why thank you." Her cheeks got a mild red shade to them. She didn't respond to flattering too well. Oh how easy it was to make her blush. "Some translated it into 'beautiful night' and some says it means only 'beautiful'. Not really sure which one is the correct one. " She glanced at the lady beside her briefly. "It was given by my adoptive father almost right after when I had been brought here."
BrownLupine's picture

The brown faced had to smile.

The brown faced had to smile. This young miss here reminded her of her own adolescent days, the ones where she was just setting out for her travels. "Oh? Well then. Then your father has a good taste in names." This young lady here was definitely a good company to rest with and talk. "How are you doing?"

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

The Little Flower was utterly

The Little Flower was utterly fascinated by the other one's gorgeous antlers but was too shy to mention her adoration. Instead she just scanned them with her deep blue eyes. "He sure does." She could not help but let out a laughter. "Pretty well actually. Can't really complain. How about you?"
BrownLupine's picture

"Thanks for asking. I am

"Thanks for asking. I am fine. But I can't help, but notice your gaze. Is something wrong with my head?" In an almost silly attempt she looked up as if she could look at her own head somehow.

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

"Eehh.." Now her whole face

"Eehh.." Now her whole face flushed red and ears pressed to her head as she tried to come up with a smart answer. "I was just-... I mean-.. You have-... " None of the starting lines sounded right so she decided to say exactly what she was thinking when she noticed her antlers for the first time. "Those are just so beautiful, your antlers." Her face was still red and her eyes were shining from adoration.
BrownLupine's picture

A surprised and amused

A surprised and amused expression decorated Trees' face. That was a compliment she didn't expected, since often enough deer either mistook her for a stag from the distance or are unsure how to handle an antlered doe - though last ones were rare. "Thank you very much. And no need to be shy. It honors me that you like them." She gave the younger one an encouraging nudge to the shoulder with her nose. "They have their advantages and disadvantages."

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

Soon the uncomfortable

Soon the uncomfortable feeling that Miyako's staring had caused faded. She was much more relaxed again. Miyako gave only a nod as a response to Trees' first statement. A smile tugged the corners of her mouth as she was nudged and soon enough there was a rather wide smile upon her features. "I bet there is more advantages anyway. At least I could find a lot to do with a pair of those." The tone in her voice was quiet and respectful. She knew that if she had had antlers, she wouldn't have to rely on others as much as she does right now. She is no stranger to danger.
BrownLupine's picture

She chuckled. "Not that much

She chuckled. "Not that much more. Always remember that antlers give not only you opponent but also kindhearted deer respect and let them take some distance. They also take a lot of space, I tell you." The last part had somewhat of a laugh in it. She found the shy, kindhearted nature of this doe simply adorable.

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

"Sleeping with those might

"Sleeping with those might turn out a challenge for me. I tend to roll around and turn a lot." Another laughter escaped the young doe's throat. "But it would be worth hassle." Miyako pulled her legs from underneath her and stretched them briefly before tugging them back there. She thought that maybe with antlers she wouldn't be so dependent of others and would be more independent and strong. The idea fascinated her but at the same time she knew she would never have a pair of antlers, it wasn't in her genes.
BrownLupine's picture

"Let me assure you, you would

"Let me assure you, you would stop rolling around very soon with a pair of those." The kabuki pelted joined the other in the laughter. "But tell me, why would you want a pair of these so much?"

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

"Somehow I can imagine that."

"Somehow I can imagine that." She took a deep breath and dried her eyes to her leg after she had got the laughter to stop, finally. "Well, to be honest I am quite talented at getting into trouble and a pair of antlers would help me a lot. It's not only once or twice when .. Never mind." The last two words were said under a chuckle. She didn't want to bother the other one with the stories of almost getting killed. "Enough about me, would you tell me something about yourself? Anything."
BrownLupine's picture

As the laughter died down,

As the laughter died down, she took a look at the doe next to her. "Oh I would love to tell something about me, but now your made curios. There must be some persistent followers to make you think antlers are better than speed or ,in worse cases, your hooves are." She scooted closer, curiosity written all over her face. "Tell me. What happened?"

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

For a moment the young doe

For a moment the young doe sat there in silence thinking how to put her words and where did the line of appropriate and inappropriate go. She took a deep breath and turned her gaze to the other one. "I fell in love with someone and trusted my heart to him. It all ended with mental and physical abuse. Both happened a couple of times and for a moment I was only a shell of the doe I used to be. When I got my act together again I was found by another male. His only goal was to slaughter me and almost succeeded. If it wasn't for my friends, I .." That was the long story short. She was starting to accept the past events, she couldn't change the past anyway. But the brief expression that visited her face told more than it should have, she was scarred for life. "Now it's your turn." She turned that frown upside down and flashed a gentle smile.
BrownLupine's picture

Trees leaned her ears back.

Trees leaned her ears back. "I am sorry, if I woke some bad memories." She leaned her head back up. Words of courage, that was what she wanted to tell the other female, but according to her harsh subject change, Miyako wasn't ready to talk about it right now. ..... A shell of the doe I used to be..... She thought a little about it for a second, before she spoke up again. "There is nothing much to tell about me. I was born outside of this forest, came here a few years ago. I belong to the traveling deer species called "Storytellers". I came around a little bit. Am the mother of three fawns, which are all grown up by now. I love the challenges of nature, but I like relaxing around just as much.... Nothing of interest really."

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

"It's okay." Another smile

"It's okay." Another smile visited her features as she tried to assure her that she was alright and in time she would be able to fully put it all behind. Miyako's eyes were like glued to the other doe as she listened carefully every word. "I assume that you have seen quite a lot during your travels, hm? Could you perhaps tell me something some time about the world outside of this forest? I was brought here when I was just a newborn. I don't remember much of the other world." A slight tilt of her head could be seen when she asked the two questions. "Three fawns? You must be proud of them." Some day she would love to have offspring of her own, some day.
BrownLupine's picture

"Sure thing. Just ask me

"Sure thing. Just ask me anything you want. And if I have an answer, I will give it to you." She gave the young female another friendly nuzzle. "I am proud of them. As proud as a mother can be and even more than that. Two boys, one girl. Nukilik, Sonne and and my littke girl Verve. Strong and healthy." For a moment, she her expression slipped as she seemed to think about something. "What about you? Do you have any?"

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

"Thank you, you're too sweet.

"Thank you, you're too sweet. " The young doe was eager to learn about the outside world. A frown appeared upon her face as she thought what she wanted to know first. "How is it different from this place and what are to most important thing I should know before going there? " Obviously she had thought about escaping The Endless Forest and see what her home could have been like. "They have so beautiful names, all of them. " A pause. "Unfortunately, I don't. I would love to have many fawns some day but maybe the time isn't right now. "
BrownLupine's picture

She chuckled. "Yes, yes. It

She chuckled. "Yes, yes. It is all about the right time." Trees thought a moment, before answering. "First and foremost: Don't leave without telling anyone where you are going. After that you must be aware that the circumstances are much harder outside. Food and water are not always available the weather can be so much harsher than any condition you witnessed here. The predators are multiple and more dangerous outside. Here, in this forest they bully for fun. Out there they are determined to kill you to feed themselves and their families to survive. Also it would be wiser to stay in a family for protection. Though many creatures out there will talk to you, they most likely refuse to share space or food unless you are close one. Again, they have to think about their survival just like the predators." She fell silent once more, her face suddenly more serious. As was her tone. "And then there are humans. Creatures, almost complete naked except their head. They wear strange smelling and often colorful looking fabrics called clothes. They are the most dangerous ones. They are unpredictable to no end. Some might just look at you, some want to touch you, some want to catch you, some want to kill you. The have tools that make them faster than they are, ropes to reach out more than their arms let them, weapons that can kill you from a far off distance. They also use tame animals sometimes to make up for their weaknesses, such as dogs, horses and some birds of prey. Never EVER trust them, never let your guard slip when you smell or hear them. Be alarmed all the time. The best is you run immediately the moment you encounter anything human related. And most important, keep a cool head and calm manner. Panic is the best advantage you can give them."

(And sorry for any grammars or typos in this long text XD)

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

As the other lady kept on

As the other lady kept on going with answering her questions the more serious Miyako's expression became. Even a thought of multiple predators and difficulties in getting food or water made her re-think her adventures to the other world. Maybe she should learn how to protect herself here before accepting other challenges. "All I can say is that I am thankful for my sister who brought me here, safety. I cannot imagine how anyone can survive there alone." She shook her head slightly without noticing it. Her eyes were wide open and ears pressed to her head. She wasn't afraid, but respectful toward the possible threats and difficulties in the outside world. "Yes, I've been told about humans, they sound.. so cruel. " The young doe fell silent for a moment. "You know so much about these things. "

[e:] Don't worry. My text is filled with them. Cool
BrownLupine's picture

Finally, Trees calmed down.

Finally, Trees calmed down. "Knowledge is one of the great treasures you will gain, when mastering a travel in that world outside." And there, the smile appeared again. "It certainly is a long and harsh way to learn everything you need to survive outside of this place. And it is even more difficult to master the challenge of life there. But..." And in her voice the passion and proud of having witnessed such things seeped through once more. Eyes glowing as they looked into the distance, obviously living through all again. "... believe me, there are things you could never experience just like that here. Nothing can compare to the rising sun after a long, dark and cold night in the rain. Nothing can compare to the adrenalin rushing through your veins when fleeing from the hunters longing for your meat and the happiness when you escaped them. Or the pity in the moment you realize that your success could mean their and their youngsters death. Nothing tastes as good as the food and water after a long search with hunger and thirst. All those things outside, as dangerous as they are, as much torture they ever put you through. They let you live life to it's fullest. Suddenly you understand the circle that is life, you see your and everyones role in it, you appreciate everything you have, every moment given to you. You won't hate as much and love much more than before. Even the beasts that want to eat you, as you see they have their place just as you have yours and they give their best to master the same challenge you need to face. And maybe, you will love it to take your place, take responsibility for you and others or accept things much better than before, because you see a meaning to everything in some way. And because you have grown onto yourself during this." Trees sighed, then shook her head and she looked at her talk companion again. "Sorry. I probably talked a bit to much, didn't I?"

(brb for a while)

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

The young doe sat there like

The young doe sat there like a statue, only visible movement was when her chest went up and down as she breathed and a blink of an eye every now and again. Just like the fear of the world outside had grown in her so did the fascination and enthusiasm when Trees described the life there with so mighty words. Her heart thudded in her chest faster and louder. Her eyes were wet, she simply was just so excited as she painted a picture in her mind. It was beautiful, so beautiful. And she knew after such adventure one knew that she had lived. Miyako's tail started to flicker furiously, she was so full of energy that she was about to explode. "I definitely must witness all those things you told me. Even if it was a bit too much for me to handle, I want to try. I need to." It would hurt her cheeks if she smiled wider. "No, no! You didn't. I love listening what you have to say. It sounds like you have had quite the life so far. I am a bit jealous." Her voice was soft, it has no bitterness in it even though she was jealous.
BrownLupine's picture

Happiness run through Trees'

Happiness run through Trees' body as she saw, even smelled the excitement her words rose in the other doe. It was wonderful to see others hanging on her every word again, making them smile with the things she told. "You certainly should try, when the time has come. But you know, you don't need to do this alone. I am sure your friends will join you and it is always nice to share such an experience with others." She smiled widely at her new friend. "No need to be jealous. You are young and it takes time for such things to happen."

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

Miyako inched closer to the

Miyako inched closer to the doe and nudged her gently with the tip of her nose as a thank you for sharing those wonderful things with her. Trees' advice would be much needed when the time was right for her to go to explore. "Yes, yes, it would be. It might make the relationships deeper, right? Experience such things with someone." A content sigh escaped her throat as she laid her head down to the ground playing with the idea of leaving the forest for a while. For now it was just a dream. "I guess you're right. I will know it when the time is right and I'm ready for it. " She nodded determined.
BrownLupine's picture

She gave the doe a pleased

She gave the doe a pleased and short grooming upon her shoulders as sign of her approval. "It does deepen the relationship, and raises the chance of making it through those hard ships." Trees leaned her ears back and closed her eyes a little. She turned one of said ears into the newcomers direction. "I believe we have a visitor?"

What nature divides, the spirit unites.

She enjoyed the grooming very

She enjoyed the grooming very much, her eyes were closed. She smirked lightly at her companion's first statement. Miyako indeed had some great adventures ahead. "Ohh?" Miyako lifted her head up to see who the newcomer was but her vision was slightly blurry for a reason unknown. She sniffed the air to recognize the visitor. When her nostrils caught the scent of her father she stood up and went to greet the male. After that she returned to Trees' side.

"You do know I can safely

"You do know I can safely forgive you for anything... because I don't remember anything, Miyako." The doe let loose a small giggle, returning the nuzzle as the pair settled to the ground. Another positive interaction was definitely good for Poplar. Miyako did strike something deep the moment they occupied the same space. A smile graced the doe only as much as a deer can smile. "Though nobody seems to believe me when I say so." The sentence was accompanied by a slow shake of her head. Surely Miyako would believe her... K had told her about this, hadn't he?

A deep sigh escaped her

A deep sigh escaped her throat and her ears pressed to her head. Her brother indeed had told her that Poplar might not remember anything, but it was important to Miyako to apologize. That way she could most likely be able to put it all behind and try to see Poplar in a new light. "But I do remember it all. And Khaelh convinced me that I was being immature for holding grudges over such silly things. It was time to make it right, even if you can't remember a thing." A smile appeared upon her features as she turned her deep blue eyes to the doe beside her. "I.. I believe you." Her words were only a whisper. She did her best not to do anything stupid now, it had taken a lot from her to come here and she did not want to ruin it.

Pop nudged Miy's pinned ear,

Pop nudged Miy's pinned ear, a signal that there was no need to be upset. If what K said was true, I knew you would." K had painted the doe to be similar to herself, which Poplar had translated to mean similar in the way she believed as well. That led to the confession. Most others looked skeptically at her upon her admission that she did not know anything. They thought she was lying. Was she really that bad in the past? The doe seemed to have many enemies and grudges against her. And I am sincerely glad your conscience is cleared. It is very nice to have someone from the past that doesn't want my head ripped off." A light-hearted giggle followed. It was actually mildly humorous.

Miyako was not aware of their

Miyako was not aware of their similar natures and habits of getting into trouble. Although she knew how often Poplar got into trouble with Umay and her pack. One time she even cheered them from afar. And as she now thought about it again, it made her stomach turn. It wasn't a nice thing to do.
The young doe chuckled when her ear was nudged and at right that moment her ears perked up and twitched a couple of times. Miyako knew that Poplar was not mean or evil, so to say, she had just been in the wrong place in the wrong time.
A cheerful laughter escaped the doe's mouth after she heard what the other one had said. "It only took some time for that to happen." She nodded lightly with her eyes closed and hoped she wouldn't have to become enemies with her again. "How're things going for you now, hm?"

-licks face-

Listening, she nodded. So

Listening, she nodded. So maybe, maybe Poplar had not been so bad. "Wrong-place-wrong-time things, but this time around I am actually learning how to deal with trouble, which I assume I was not good at in the past. It has been kinda quiet the past two days after Maelstrom, though." The doe's ears flicked back for a second or two, a brief moment of indecision, perhaps. "Are things going well for you?" Certainly the doe hoped that they were, after K's accusations of Miyako's trouble-magnet nature.

The more and more they talked, the doe's curiosity grew: What had they been to each other before? The fact that the lost memories were trying to trigger something for her was increasingly more confusing. Were the memories that deep-seeded?

The doe listened with a smile

The doe listened with a smile upon her face until she heard the name of Maelstrom. Every single muscle in her body tensed, her ears pinned and her fur stood up. A shiver ran down her spine. It was a mixed feeling of loathe, disgust and fear. The two first mentioned were the dominant feelings. She did not respond to her at first. She did not want to talk about someone who had almost killed her. Now the doe tried to shrug it off and continue the conversation by answering to her question.
"Things are pretty good actually. For once I don't need to worry about broken ribs or wounds that might reopen. I am rather happy now, thank you for asking." The previous smile returned to her face as she spoke with a gentle voice.

At Miyako's tensing Pop's

At Miyako's tensing Pop's tail involuntarily flagged. She had not wanted to hit a cord like that with the other doe. Ears lowered, she dipped her head in apology. It was not her fault that she did not know, yet she could definitely see why the other seemed so upset. The stag deserved the hatred he bred. Even Umay was scared, or so she had seemed when they had fought in front of Poplar. Why the doe called out was a mystery, but she was paying with healing wounds that crackled with scabs and pulled against the living skin around them. Poplar was glad that the worst of them were hidden from Miyako's view.

"That sounds so nice." The thought of not having to worry about being injured... wow. That seemed like paradise to Poplar, even after only a few days of having real wounds. The doe was a wuss, really.

"It is nice. Must enjoy it

"It is nice. Must enjoy it while it lasts. Who knows when I must hide from the world and lick my wounds." She shrugged lightly and let out a chuckle. The young doe did not want to sound too serious. But it was true, this might last only for a moment. At least she knew there were a bunch of deer and other creatures who'd have her back and try to protect her. She owed her life to Kody, Umay and Crucio already. Some day she would be brave enough and strong enough to fight her own battles.

For a moment the doe fell silent and just watched the small birds fly by. Then she turned her gaze to the other one, curious. "How do you know my brother anyway? He is a rather new creature to me, too." A slight frown visited her face but that was only because she was curious. This time there was no jealousy involved and she did not mind Poplar hanging around her brother.

-pokes cheek-

How? It was funny to ask, but

How? It was funny to ask, but even funnier to answer. Poplar breathed in and suppressed a chuckle as she did so. "I guess one day we just got curious of one another. My brother Makuso, well I call him 'brother' but he is a very close friend, was sitting with me and we spotted him in the distance. He was just staring in our direction with a look much like yours on his face, actually. I followed his scent later and we just sorta met. K soothed me the other day after I was chased about, actually. I was a real wreck when he found me, terrified of my own hoof-falls. Gotta learn to manage that. I mean, Umay and the other two did not even hurt me. It seemed all in good fun for them. Either way your K was a great comfort." She blushed ashamedly beneath her brown fur.
