You're welcome to continue to use any of the art and such I did for Tandem (as well as the rest of your characters) but I'd appreciate it if you could take Crucio out of Tandem's relationships as his mate and either remove him entirely or edit his status under the relations tab when you get a chance. He's.. likely going to take a break away from the Forest. Maybe, I haven't decided yet. But it seems like a good idea right now. xD;
The stag curled up around the little bird sitting beside him. He lowered his head and slightly nudged the little creature. ''What is your name, little one?'' He asked, carefully sniffing the crow.
"Mm.. Tandem," the crow responded promptly with a gentle, yet stressed huff. His heart felt heavier than ever today, and he couldn't quite figure out why. It concerned him. "And you.. You're Beren, right? I think I've seen you around." He lifted his head to peer up at the canine curiously.
Beren's ears pricked to the sound of Tandems voice, his stressed huff made him a little bit concerned. ''Y-yes, I'm Beren.'' He nodded. ''You're a one clingy bird, I must say.'' He smiled and started wagging his tail playfully. ''And fearless, too. Not afraid to hang out with someone like me, who can easily feed on you.'' He snorted.
Tandem ruffled his feathers further, ignoring how scruffy they already looked and the occasional gaps in his wings where some had been pulled out over the past few days. My apologizes," was all the crow had to say; he knew he was a clingy individual, he always had been. It was just the fact that the one he clung onto for as long as he could remember wanted nothing to do with him now, and thus.. he found himself attaching himself to whoever would have him.
"I have no reason to fear anything; I am more than just your average crow, more than just how I appear. And, aside from that.. I have kept more fearsome company than yourself, no offense. Death was once my lover." There was a hint of bitterness in his dismal tone, bringing the crow to ruffle his feathers up further as he glanced off into the distance. Even with all that happened, he couldn't help but feel this way..
''I don't mind you.'' He said, curiously watching the bird. Despite Tandem being so clingy, his company was pleasant and Beren didn't mind him at all. ''I do believe you are much more, little one.'' His ears pricked as Tandem kept speaking. He didn't reply, but felt that the little crow needs some comfort, so he snuggled to him even closer.
The crow bowed his head somewhat with a soft sigh, almost expecting rejection when the wolf went to speak again. "I could.. leave if I'm too annoying, but.. thank you. I enjoy your company too." Considering recent events, Tandem had a good reason for being wary around others when his clinginess came into account.
He gave a shy, little laugh in response to that previous comment, glancing away nervously again despite allowing himself to snuggle closer to the canine himself. "Mm, yeah.. Plus.. I don't think I'd make a very good snack anyway.. Too many feathers," he commented dryly.
Canine's ears pulled backwards and he let out a quiet whimper when he heard the crow speaking about leaving. He felt as if he might have said something to offend him, which made him feel bad, as he could have made the crow even more upset. ''Stay.'' He replied with a quiet voice.
Tandems laugh made canine's ears prick again. He started giggling quietly and a smile appeared on his face. ''Perhaps you're right, little bird.''
"If you.. really wish me to," the crow mumbled shyly in response, feeling more awkward for some reason. He'd never been in a situation like this, never where somebody had actually asked him to stay when he talked about leaving. Even with Crucio for all the centuries, he couldn't recall a single time when that happened. But.. it felt nice. "Mm.. thanks," was all he could think to say again when he burrowed into Beren's fur a bit more.
"Personally.. I think a rabbit or something might make a better choice," Tandem insisted with a faintly amused huff.
