The small stag shifted closer, eying the random deer that passed by warily. When the rush finally died down, he relaxed and gazed up at the Dragon Mistress, ears flicking nervously. He was still unsure about her, but with so many dangerous deer around, her presence was soothing. She provided a wall, and he felt safe. Relatively. "O-Okay..." Chess paused for a second. "W-Who are... you looking for?" He asked hesitantly, watching her as she stood up, listened, glanced around and then sat right back down again. She'd done this multiple times, and now the small stag was begining to get worried.

[ That's fine, I just posted it a bit ago anyways. c: Oi, that's quite a mix-up. o.o Thank goodness for Joro. XD ]

"O-Oh... Is he the b-big red stag? W-With the scary a-antlers?" Chess asked, certain that'd he run into the large male earlier that day. The smaller deer shuddered at the thought, and then shifted closer to the doe, his eyes flitting around wildly. He was ashamed he was so frightened, but he really couldn't help it. He knew what certain deer were capable of, although he always seemed to flock to the most dangerous of them all. When Illrose smiled at him, his quaking lessened, though he still had rather violet twitching spells whenever another deer came closer. "It's Chess. I-I'm Chess." He stuttered, looking back up at Illrose and smiling weakly.

[ I bet. xD Poor Illrose. <3 Protecting those two goofballs certainly doesn't make her many friends, eh? ]

Chess nodded in response, watching as other deer began to intrude upon their chat. "It's nice to make y-your acquaintance, Illrose." He stated, burrowing into her fur again, his head on her back as the deer came closer and closer, and even closer. Eventually, he stood up and backed off a few paces, then leaped onto another rock, glancing at them warily. He remembered the white doe, and the white stag, but the large dragon-looking stag he didn't remember. Chess whimpered slightly, before charging off into the unknown, leaving the other deer behind him. He hated crowds.

Casstiel flinched at her fury, and turned away, as if bracing himself against a cold wind. He didn't like this, at all. It almost made him want to go back into hiding. He was still weak from his fight with Moon Thief, but he could finally manage now... The stag shook his head and stepped back, away from the injured doe and towards a rather empty space. No deer, no confusion, no hostile deer. "Fine then." He snorted, averting his eyes and staring broodingly into nothing.
