Guess that's understandable. | | I've uncovered most of what I need to know about the Replica Program, but where's the other one? I can't find any trace of it. ...Vexen was caught in the middle. Pitiable, but unavoidable. I could not risk his Program falling into their hands. Of greater concern are the traitors. Not the obvious turncoats, but the ones who will get in his and my way. The fact that I knew all that and still never noticed the truth about Xion speaks to how remarkable a Replica she must be. But my questions remain unanswered. Who is she a Replica of? Naminé? Kairi? Or perhaps someone entirely different? Why did the Organization admit her into this membership? And why would such a fine Replica fall unconscious or sporadically lose its command of the Keyblade? | | Even if Xion is a Replica-a puppet-she's still Xion. I understand that in my head, but how do I interact with her now? Riku-Replica was just a tool, but I can't just use Xion. No, I was wrong to have just used Riku-Replica in the first place. How is a man-made puppet any less worthy than a Nobody that was never meant to exist at all? They're both ambiguous. Tenuous at best. And she's my friend. Even if neither of us should exist, that doesn't invalidate the bonds we form. Next break we get, I told her we'd all go to the beach. I hope we get the chance. Our little summer vacation. I know if we can get together and laugh about stupid stuff, this nagging doubt will go away. | | Xion is gone. Roxas still doesn't know anything, but Xion found out. That's why I need to find her. We don't have hearts, so we accept the facts we're given as the truth. But something far more important lies behind that truth. Saïx would laugh at people with no hearts calling one another friends, but that doesn't make it not so. As the Nobody of the hero of the Keyblade and the Replica of that Nobody, these two are special. Unique in every sense of the word. But that doesn't change the fact that we're friends. Nothing will. Got it memorized, Xion? | | Roxas doesn't trust me after the whole Xion incident, but I can't tell him the truth yet. So I keep lying. It's no big deal when you're a Nobody. There's no guilt, no feeling at all. So why does it still sting, just a little, when I lie to him? All my dealings with Roxas give me this bizarre illusion of humanity. | | Xion is burning through missions at full tilt. She seems frantic. Why, I don't know. And speaking of, I still don't know what to say to Roxas. Even without my orders from Saïx, I'd do anything to stop Roxas from being erased. I just don't know if I can stand by and let that happen to Xion, either. | | I couldn't tell Xion she was wrong, and I can't bring myself to end her. But it's either that, or I have to erase Roxas. There's no future where the three of us can sit around and eat ice cream. I know Roxas will never understand. I don't want to acknowledge it myself. | | Roxas left. It's so like him to just leave that WINNER ice cream stick behind. Come tomorrow, I'll probably get the order to hunt him down, but leaving that here makes it feel so permanent. Looks like Roxas is getting into the Halloween spirit early this year. Was assuming he’d be supporting the pumpkin-bondage movement, but seems that was only Sora’s thing. To be honest, I always felt the fruity eye-patches were best left to the experts-not that Xigbar appears to be around to model, as of late. Practically half the Organization have been filed MIA over the past couple of weeks... Maybe the Dusks got hungry~ I wonder what the customs around here for the thirty-first are~? Hope they don’t expect a costume... We don’t all come with the convenience of built-ins like Saix. Though, throw Marluxia his scythe and we could have the reaper princess, and Larxene doesn’t even need fancy dress with those antennae. Dig up some rub-ons and we could make Xaldin one hell of a bikey. Maybe we could even get some extensions and pretty up Vexen as the retirement home Rapunzel... Why, I’m feeling festive already~ Perhaps I could convince Roxas to sit a red ball on his antlers... He’d make a pretty damn good Moogle, and I’m sure Vivian would hardly object. Shame she’d never be able to afford him again, though-400 for a hipotion? Blow that. Can you tell things have been slow lately~? I’m almost hoping someone throws their lid again or something, just to spice things up a bit... But, I guess I can’t complain. | 22|09|2010 | So this is what it feels like to be the upper-up’s bitch. Pretty damn unexpected, though far from unwanted. Xemnas finally cracked, right when the ice-cream social's decided to have their grand reunion. With all the kids in one place, I couldn’t risk him picking them off again. Managed to lure Demyx out and drag him back to the reform where Xaldin soon joined us, followed shortly by Marluxia. Even with the numbers, the others being so beaten up meant it was more a matter of keeping inconspicuous whilst he shredded the local wildlife-that is, until the fruit decided to kick the plans into overdrive. Though, in hindsight, it’s not like I can disapprove, even if I could. Was kinda like a domino effect. Marluxia, myself, Demyx, even Xaldin. S’pose the guy didn’t really stand a chance... Not that the waterboy lasted long, but Xaldin put up a good fight without any women’s elbows involved~ And, as much as I hate to admit it, we make a pretty good team. Didn’t take much more from the two of us to push him into submission, and here we stand. There was a bit of a bizarre moment amidst it all, though-Marluxia and I got booted to some deserted version of this world, just the two of us. Was almost like someone wanted to save him... Or, perhaps, give us a moment to gather ourselves. For whatever god-known reason, we returned a few minutes later. I’d like to know what happened, there... Guess there’s more to this world than meets the eye after all~ Speaking of, with Marluxia as our new leader, I’m expecting this place’s orbit to shift to revolve around his head anytime now, though I can tell he’s reserved. Like me, I’m sure he feels this has been too easy. It’d be foolish to have come this far only to lose it through carelessness~ Still not sure if this was the right move-I know better than anyone that Marluxia’s ambition could throw the deal or indeed, me. I’ll be keeping a close eye on him, to make sure things stay on track. Larxene, too. However, I seem to have somewhat earned back what trust I lost from the CO days, so at least a knife in the back is slightly less likely, now. Also won Namine over, and a few more fans on the side. Guess I can’t complain~ S’not like everyone’s too pleased with new management, though. Vexen was always going to be an issue, but I s’pose seniors don’t usually cope well with change even at the best of times. Saix is displeased, which pretty much proves my theory. He didn’t fight for or against, but his unwillingness to side against Xemnas says enough. I’m hoping it’s still a part of the act. I’ll have to talk to him, though I’m being watched almost as much as I myself am watching. I’ll find a way, though. Just gotta hope in the meantime he’s not so lovestruck not to realize I’m still in this for him as much as I am myself~ On that, butt-kissing duties call~ At any rate, whatever happens next will certainly be interesting, if nothing else. Not only have you potentially ruined our plans, you’ve shoved a right spanner in the works of my others, too. May as well stroll up to Xemnas right now and tell him straight that his little bitch is a traitor... But then, I’m not even so sure of that, lately~ You’re Saix. This seems to be the line that draws you two as separate. Isa would have kept his mouth shut, kept his loyalties, kept his mind on the fact that it’s bros before hoes, and all that. I’ll keep our plans, of course, but I hope you’ll understand if I don’t platter-serve it all anymore. It’s as much for your own good as it is mine, and time will certainly tell. At any rate, looks like I’ll be third-wheeling it from here on in. With Larxene on board, seems the old topside team will be reforming for this one-in other words, exactly what I wanted to avoid. It’s two on one if the odds take the turn, now... But perhaps, this could work. A backup for the backup, seems about time I put some of those solo plans into action, though~ Think I’ll start with Namine. Got to know the pond a little better than I ever would have preferred, today. The fruit decided to practice his vine bondage on me and see how flame and water mix. There’s a good reason I avoid taking a swim, and it’s not because I can’t stay afloat. Feels like someone’s tried to rip the hair from my skin. Stings like a bitch. A few scratches and bruises, but nothing that won’t heal. Success never comes without a little hard work, and the gain was certainly worth it. He thrives when given power. Back in ye olde Castle Oblivion, that job was done for me. Here, that order needs to be re-established. Make him think he can overpower me with a weakness, put me in my place if required, yet prove we’re relatively even without elements in play. Give him a challenge to keep him keen. Let him lead, whilst being led. Whilst the dunking was hardy the most pleasant experience, without a heart, I couldn’t care less. Roxas can summon his Keyblades. They both came out of it alive, without too many questions asked. Everything went according to our plans. ...Both of them. Can’t pretend it’s not strange. Sitting on a hill watching a girl get beaten up by a dancing heartless with the guy you bumped off in the not-so-distant past is more than the word ‘bizarre’ can express-though of course, I can’t complain. Marluxia is a valuable ally, and I’d rather him with me than directly against me-c’mon, I’d be kidding myself if I assumed he’d forgiven me that easily. There’s every chance he’ll try to do to me what I did to him, and he’s starting to ask the big questions I’d rather not give him the answers to... Dangerous, but worth it. This early in the piece, I don't think the fruit will be doing too much anytime soon. Keeps me on my toes, nonetheless. Least I won’t be bored, yeah~? Saix doesn’t suspect a thing. It’s not that I don’t trust him... But then, it’s not that I completely do, either. Our past as Somebody’s is all fine and dandy, but recent history sees me a little less inclined to put it all on just Saix. The way he looks at Xemnas, tracking me down, that ‘maximum punishment’ junk... He’s good, but he’s not that good. Without hearts, we’re without loyalty. Ventus... I never thought I'd hear that name, again. First from the new girl, Aqua, and then I ran into him today in person. I had a feeling we'd meet again but, of course, not like this. Even a mirror image... Though of course, that makes them far from alike. Probably for the best if Roxas doesn’t meet him, even so. Quite the little party we had, today. Some new faces, but mostly old-one particularly so. It seems he almost trusts me-though, put lightly, the kid was always more than a little naive. When not in the presence of Riku, it’s nearly as though we’re on the same side... Though, are we~? I know what I want, and it certainly doesn’t set me against him. Apparently brands me evermore the traitor though, in the eyes of our ever-hospitable Superior. He’s definitely onto me, though I never intended on chucking on the halo and prancing about in virgin whites-was leaning more towards the ‘too-many-to-keep-track-of’ approach. Worked before, right~? Managed to brush off my time with Sora as expansion of useful contacts for the Organization. Hey, not a complete lie-just a little twisting of the truth~ Speaking of the Organization, looks like we're all loosing it, one by one. First Xemnas, then Xigbar becoming somewhat skittish, and now it looks like Vexen’s gone and picked up/managed to create some god-holy mindfuck infection for himself. Kind of disappointing, really... Where’s the fun, if all my work is done for me~? Tch, I almost miss Marluxia. At least he’s robust. Wonder where the fruit got to, anyway~? I’ll let him fight you, soon. You wield the darkness well, though I'm not sure what use that'll be in a place like this. When the time is right, I know who I’ll be putting my money on.
