Shruike's claws dug into the soft dirt, his tail was wrapped around his leg. his long neck stretched to its fullest to look up at a tree. He reared onto his hind legs to look into a tree, finding no birds. Cursing to himself he walked forward a few feet to look into another tree.

iko lifted her large ears to a sharp point, hearing a footstep echo into her mind. She stood stone still for a long while before slowly returning to her eating position. She twitched her ears this way and that to listen for the sound.
Shruike's frill poofed and he hissed. He looked towards the sound to see a small black doe grazing in the distance. He spun around and began to run towards the doe.

Hearing a wave of fast moving hooves, iko looked up. Her fac was stricken with absolute fear as a other was charging rigth at her. iko turned and began to sprint in the other direction, running as fast as she could move without tripping.
Shruike let a sly grin spread across his face. He reared up and lauched himself into a tree. His claws gripped the firm bark as he waited for his victim to go under the tree.

iko gave a huff. "You really should could come down before you fall, you know mister." She tapped the tree's trunk with her black hoof. Her white eyes emanating a holy white glow.
Shruike's head dropped to look at the doe. He was shocked, but kept his calm expression. He dropped to the ground, the ground vibrated beneath him. His neck stretched out, and his tail was sticking up. His tongue flailed a moment, then returning to his mouth. The frill on his neck settled. "Hello, miss.", he said. His voice was deep, and a bit sickening. A snear spread across his fowl face. ( Shruike is a demon, part snake and part deer. He is VERY tall. much larger than the rugular stag. He has a snake long neck about as long as an anaconda's neck, and his tail is as long as a boat. a small boat.)

iko looked up at the massive male with an expressionless face. Her white eyes staring blankly at his own. "You are very tall, mister. But I bet I am nimbler than you. I am much smaller than you and you are much to big to be lithe on your hooves. I bet I'm faster, too." And with that, she took off running between his legs and over a hill.
Shruike chuckled and looked behind him to see the doe running towards a hill. He whipped around and took off after her. His body bent and hunched over as he galloped towards her.

iko swiftly turned around a tree and slid back through the demon's legs. She had put about fifteen feet behind her before she stumbled.

iko gave a terrified bleat as she was flung to the ground. Her back leg twitched as her eyes gave off a pulsating glow; shw was entering her world of darkness.
Shruike stepped back and stared at her. "Do you mean me?", he asked shocked.
He chuckled and whispered, "I wont hurt you!". He sat on his butt and stared at her.
(Even though he looks scary and is a tad freaky, he wont hurt a doe not hurting him.)
