An ask blog thing primarily for Kostya and the rest of my characters.
I'm gonna try to draw most of the responses alongside answering them. You can ask them things or you can have your character ask them things, or ask me things about them ASK ALL THE THINGS. It can be as thought provoking or as mundane as you like, go nuts.
Also you can ask their human versions stuff too..providing they have one.
ALSO THE ART WILL BE BETTER THAN THIS IN THE FUTURE HOPEFULLY cos I gotta go out soon.
KOSTYA, with all the dark times and stuff in the forest, what keeps you so positive? "OH well I guess I just try not to think of the dark stuff."
ALSO THIS IS INTERESTING also cos I've actually never thought about it before somehow. HE JUST doesn't stay down for too long about things, he usually ends up trying to or just accepting the thing and moving on.
It also really depends on the situation, the more personal a "dark/sad/etc" thing is the more it will bring him down (for example Virgil and Saosin passing, him getting stomped on that one time).
...I think it also helps he's kind of oblivious to all the dark stuff too and hasn't really been involved with it. TO HIM the forest is still relatively positive/a good fun place, just because he hasn't had a whole lot of run ins with the darker side of TEF.

Draak, what has been the hardest thing about being a parent or what has been the most difficult thing to tackle with Aura.
Axebeak, do you spend any significant amount of time grooming... or preening I guess might be the better word. Do you care much about how your feathers look, or do you only do the bare minimum, etc.?

(minor backstory time: Aura has a bad habit of approaching ex hydra assassins in mcdonalds much to the horror of Draak and Rut, Aura bluntly states that "YOU GOT THE WRONG ONE. THIS ONE HAS LESS TOPPINGS" inwhich Barnes agrees, waltzes up to the counter where Rut is working and Rut has a minor coronary as this 6 foot tall beefy guy asks for another mcflurry)
we don't mention the "I want my mum" thing because I didn't want to make it depressing, they've both kind of moved on by now, but it'd still be a sore spot. Grief is complicated ghjfkhg

Short answer yes.
cos my handwriting is horrid:
Dead/rotting = not yucky
Sentient rock/tree/etc = yucky
celestial/etherieal/whateven=ieal = yucky
living goop = yucky
Basically if she thinks they don't look edible they're yucky. Though sometimes it doesn't stop her from taking a curious nom though.
Any beasts in the forest that you'd love a bite of but haven't been able to get one? FLETCHER
He always interupts her hunts, but he's huge and is basically a giant wall of antlershead knives so she doesn't try to attack him because there's too big a risk of her getting gored and turned into birbmince. She would totally try to get back at him if she could do it and get out unscathed.
