A Closer Look

Skin is entirely cool gray in color. Fur was purely off-white when he was born, but has darkened as he aged to match the hue of the dermis. Stature is typical for an Endless Forest deer; neither especially muscular nor thin. "Arms" are the same dark gray as his skin, but are immune to most stimuli. They have no sense of pain or temperature. Still, he may use the bony appendages to move, explore, observe, or carry things. The skeletal structures cannot be harmed without breaking the powerful magic seal that structures them.

Golden markings adorn the entirety of his body, but are only visible where the fur is short enough. His hair and the white fur covering his neck hide the symbols underneath. The brightness of these markings ebb and flow with the intensity of his magic; exhausted states lead to dimming while energized states cause the designs to become vibrant.

Often bares a content and unruffled expression. Eyes remain relaxed and rarely blink. White pupils and irises over a mercury colored sclera; appears pupil-less at first glance. Thin, arching eyebrows and a wide, half-deer, half-human nose. Jawline is angular and sharp. Sports bone blonde hair that is long, straight, and stops just short of his shoulders. Often wears this in a single braid or a messy knot of a bun.

Neither graceless nor dim for his age. In fact, is quite canny. Perceptive, bright, and learns quickly. Intuitive and empathic. Was not exposed to much spoken language when he was a child and has trouble grasping the subject now that he is older. Finds non-verbal communication and body language easy to understand. Quick to learn "native" TEF gestures as it comes naturally to him.

Hardly speaks, if ever. His voice is humanoid, but has a distinct cadence unique to the Endless Forest deer species. An avid observer, though not shy. Playful, inquisitive, loves to explore. Not usually the first to approach, though has no qualms with the invading personal space of strangers if invited. Generally calm and easy to please. Secretive, chummy, affectionate. Young - has a lot to learn yet.
