Zephyr is small of frame and light of step, partially due to her nature as a wind spirit. Although she does her best to blend in with the forest inhabitants she meets, it's possible, when the light strikes her right, for the sunlight to shine through her form like stained glass.

Likely her most notable feature are her eyes, the cyan color standing out from the shadows created by her mask like spotlights.

Eager to make friends but inexperienced with socialization, Zephyr is unsure how to properly interact with other deer yet, and always errs on the side of politeness when approaching a new deer. If someone doesn't respond with obvious approval, she will retreat and leave them be.

A west wind is a wind that blows from the west, in an eastward direction. In Western tradition, it has usually been considered the mildest and most favorable of the directional winds.

In Greek mythology, Zephyrus, (sometimes known in English as just Zephyr), was the personification of the west wind and the bringer of light spring and early summer breezes, the gentlest of the four directional winds. In the myth of Cupid and Psyche, Zephyrus was the attendant of Cupid, who brought Psyche to his master's palace.

Geoffrey Chaucer wrote of the "swete breth" of Zephyrus, and a soft, gentle breeze may be referred to as a zephyr, as in Shakespeare's Cymbeline (IV, ii): "They are as gentle / As zephyrs blowing below the violet, / Not wagging his sweet head."
